Okay So I've been using Nintendont for about a year or two and I was pretty far in Super Mario Sunshine but when I went back to play it, it said no memory card had been created. Even my Animal Crossing, Sonic Adventure 1&2, and Zelda: Four Swords Adventures save files are gone! What happened. I didn't delete anything in the folders. I only switched between 59, 123, and 251 memory card blocks. Did that erase my saved data?

I found the BCA file for Super Mario Sunshine (GMSE) and it was created on January 2, 2015 but last night I started a new file on another memory card and now I'm all confused and don't know how to get my old saved data back? It says "GMSE01.bca", what's that? I also found the save files to Sonic Adventure 1&2 and Zelda: Four Swords Adventures but that's it.

you should check your hard drive and make sure nothing else is missing or corrupted. it is always a good idea to backup your saves but that dont help you now. but check your drive make sure everything else is fine.

These were transferred to my SD card, back in 2013 or 2014 and I did get pretty far in Super Mario Sunshine. I think I made it up to like World 6: Noki Bay. The last time I played SMS was sometime last year, because the date said " ‎February ‎1, ‎2015" under "date created". However it says "September 2, 2013" under "date modified". I'm talking about the "GMSE01.gca" file. There's another one in my save folder, just called "GMSE" and it was created on September 30, 2016; that's today.

How would my hard drive be corrupted, this was on the Wii U via Wii Mode and Nintendont, not my PC.

I would check the sd or usb that your saves were on just to make sure your not missing anymore files i doubt its corrupted but its a good idea to check. maybe you can use recovery software to get back your saves.

I don't get why my save files are gone? All of them are; Sonic Adventure 1&2, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, and of course Super Mario Sunshine. Its almost as if I never even created them and had no saved data, prior. All I did was change the memory card size from 59 to like 123 or 251 and I don't think that would do it. Maybe I'm using a different memory card I created by accident and that's why my save files don't show up, but I can't change it back. Switching the size and toggling the multi-card option to on and off results in the same thing; it says no save file has been created on this memory card. Would you like to create one? I only have like 6 or 7 options to chose from; 59, 123, 251, 1,019, and a few more that say "unstable".

bca isnt even a savefile for nintendont , nintendont saves are all .raw

changing blocks could erase save files lets say you were using 59 blocks save file for mario sunshine and then you changed the setting for 251 blocks, obviously 2 files cant have the same name and diferent filesizes on your drive so a new memory card will be created with mario sunshine gameid. why would you even mess around randmly changing block sizes?

Did you switch from individual saves to group? Nintendon't has the option of either making an individual virtual memory card for every game or making one file that all games reference. If you switch the setting then it won't be able to access the old saves unless you switch back.
