Dear sir/ madam,

I followed Prailect's tutorial to set up A9+luma and update the system to 11.1. It works great for 1 week, but yesterday, after I played Super Smash Bros and power off my 3DS XL, and put it to charge, after that, It always start at real nand(doesn't appear sys), no Luma, and I can't enter decrypt menu to restore neither log in to Luma set up menu. Did I lose A9lh? Is there any method to check it?
It's an old 3DS XL
Luma CFW+ a9lh +sysnand
Last game that I played was Ssb
I tried to use another SD, format system, format SD, to use another luma version, nothing works...

Is there any solution? Thanks very much.

So might be the obvious question but on first setup did you select autoboot SysNAND in Luma's bootsetting?

Yes, normally it was always booting on luma sysnand and appeare sys on version, but after last night, it doesn't work...

Can you boot the Luma3DS config menu?
If so, check if "Show current NAND in System Settings" is enabled.

If you can't, do you still have FBI injected to Health&Safety? Try to start it and see if it works.

If you're using the A9LH from the guide, try to remove the SD card and start the system. If it shuts down automatically, you still have A9LH installed.

I can't, when I use FBI, It be deleted, it show me an message to download again...
When I boot w/o SD, it boots automatically to sysnand.
If I lost a9, how could it happens? I didn't do any update or sysnand restore or anything, I only turn of my 3ds, recharge battery and turn on...

If you use Luma, that definitely shouldn't have happened. But I'm sorry to say, it looks like you lost A9LH. :/

If you want A9LH now, you'll have to either hardmod the console or have a hacked 3DS for the DSiWareHax downgrades.

This may be silly, but are you sure you actually installed A9LH? That doesn't sound possible to just randomly loose A9LH
Sounds like you might have updated your sysNAND by accident

I'm 100% sure that a week ago, the installation, update, and luma's update were all 100% succes, and yesterday I was playing Cía games...
For me, It looks like almost impossible... No restore nand, no sys update, and lost a9lh?? Is there another way to verify if I still have it installed?
Thanks...

Take out your SD card. Plug it into your computer. Look at it in Explorer/Finder/whatever. Do you see arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of your sd card? If not then something happened. Even if you do it see it though, redownload it from luma3ds github and put it back on there yourself. perhaps it become corrupt. Perhaps your sd card become corrupt.

What do you mean redownloaded luma and arm9? Luma3DS that you need is the arm9loaderhax.bin file from the Luma3DS release. Luma3DS is that file. Was that file already present on your SD card?

So holding select doesn't bring up the Luma3DS configuration editor? If you put on another payload, can you load that?

Basically put, if you had A9LH on your device and Luma3DS as per Plailect's guide, you cannot simply lose it. Were you using an emunand at all that you aren't mentioning? Something else has to be going on. Copy your SD card to your computer, reformat with SD Formatter, copy back and try again.

But if your 3DS boots without your SD card and you used the A9LH version from Plailect's guide, you either didn't finish the guide or aren't telling us something.

Not an SD problem, I would say. They say they can start the system without an SD, which isn't possible if following Plailect's guide. They don't have A9LH. At least not anymore.

Read down a bit more.

I did. After I posted anyway. You didn't read either of my original posts here before yours when they stated their system starts without an SD, thus the issue not being in the SD as you proposed.
I don't remember the last time people read the whole comment chain before posting

I did read your posts. It is possible to have A9LH installed into nand and have the system boot without an SD card present. Perhaps they followed Plailect's guide and used alternative payloads, like from that iso site or just from reading around here. It is not uncommon for this to happen. In fact, this was the case the last 2 times I was helping people out (they said they followed Plailect's guide and never installed anything else, when in fact they did install other things that interfered).

A9LH doesn't just disappear. To say they lost A9LH, perhaps they never had it.

In any case, I did read it. I was just troubleshooting. ^_^

The It always start at real nand(doesn't appear sys) line; says to me that we are talking menuhax/luma-emunand here rather than a9lh/luma-nand and it's menuhax that was lost

At the begining, in 9.2 sysnand with a9 before the update, no SD = start, after I update it to 11.1 and update luma, without SD it starts in real nand(doesn't appear sys).
I also have gateway payload on luma folder

Is there any method to restore it? The mine was a9...

It really sounds to me like you didn't install A9LH properly and you wound up just updating your system.
Out of curiosity to check if you have been through the processes, do you have your OTP you would have gotten when you downgraded to 2.1?

So it would start without an SD card even before the update? You definitely didn't have A9LH on there then, unless you used the alternative payload.

If you followed Plailect's guide fully, you wouldn't be on 9.2 sysnand, you'd be on an updated sysnand.

If you were on sysnand 9.2, it sounds like you were perhaps using emunand. Or you stopped Plailect's guide in the middle.

Also, when you say real nand vs sysnand, it also makes me think you were using emunand. sysnand is real nand, so no idea what else you can mean other than emunand. It seems like you updated sysnand and not emunand. Is this possibly your setup?
