i tried to download stuff before from adfly redirects and 1 out of every 3 times i get a fake malware warning that makes a horrible noise, one of the times ironically DIRECTLY after they put a block window begging me to disable adblock (and unfortunately did, fool me once).

I'm not really lactose intolerant. I just don't care for lactose's stupid drama.

I have no problem with people who want to put ads on their personal sites or whatever. Just don't use a service that's known to spread malware. Because zero-day attacks do happen. Ones that defeat common defensive measures are rare, but they happen too. The only way to block them completely is to block the ads. (Even a VM could theoretically be exploited)

You can use any hax (freakyhax, browserhax, menuhax, etc) or use yellow8's hblauncher_loader.cia found here.

Hrmm... If it's possible to dump the firmware from the hblauncher_loader.cia, why is it even required to be dumped at all. I always just assumed it was being dumped out of the game that the hax was started from...

It's super easy. Just drop the 3dsx in the HBL folder, enter the HBL and run DspDump. It will dump it and exit automatically. Nothing else is needed.

You put it in the "3ds" folder at the root of your sd card.

Did you follow plailect's guide? If you did, there should be a folder called '3ds' on the root of your SD card (not the 'Nintendo 3DS' folder, just '3ds'). In that folder you put the 3dsx.

I had vb encryption hard mod it for me and put armloader on it. Oh I am dumb I think I get it the 3dsx folder has the dumper in it, but I thought I put it in the HBL folder?

HBL = Homebrew Launcher = the '3ds' folder at the root of your SD card.

I can't get it to work? I tried it on the root, in the hblauncher folder, and the 3DS folder. Every option only lets me rename it or delete it?

A month late, but since this wasn't answered: hbloader_launcher chainloads the HBL payload, which hijacks a system title (Download Play?) in order to get permissions and the DSP firmware. The CIA itself doesn't have the DSP firmware. It's just a convenient way to get into HBL if you have the ability to launch unsigned titles.

is there a reason why the hbloader_launcher cia freezes up completely if i try to load this? i have to hard reset
