what happened to Codename MH we have Rumours about the NX
but what about the MH is it Just now a Rumour?

the whole thing wasn't real.

Some finance guys thought about what would happen if Nintendo would announce something like that and how other investors should invest into Nintendo if this would happen. The whole thing exploded in the press, but as said before, it was just a gedankenexperiment(funny that this german word is also used in english).
So their conclusion was that it isn't a good idea to invest in Nintendo(I think after Mario Run they changed their mind )
