Yeah it's possible. I have the nand dump. Probably more work than it's worth though, I have another 2 3DSs to work with. And like 25 retail carts this one can still play.

Interesting! My AL9H 3DS systems are a Japanese o3DS and a USA n3DS... which means I can't transfer from them to the 11.0 USA o3DS. But I could borrow my friend's one. Thanks for the tip!

I think you updated the sysnand with hourglass9 but didn't use the keep al9 option, thus updated to retail...

There is no "forced" option for Hourglass9, all sysNAND restores keep a9lh.

Hmm, the point of it was to not be able to kill a9lh... now the tool is unnecessary.

This is why people should do exactly as the tutorial says unless you are 100% sure what thing does what etc. Sure plailect should maybe make clear proof that you will be using Luma 3DS for several good reasons and to warn about gateway, though I have a recollection (and no while I am compiling a post I am not bothering to check) that the guide has or had warning about using gateway mode etc. Most Sysupdaters already were DO NOT USE GATEWAY MODE THE SHIT WILL BRICK etc.
