You can now play the game in European by patching the American ROM.

A legal note: this isn't the same ROM you play on Wii U, because it's missing the RAM patches for the Rumble feature, so it can be shared because Nintendo ISN'T selling this patch.

Good day, I'd like to know if there's someone out there willing to extract the European ROM of Drill Dozer from the Wii U and to create a .ips patch of it with the American version, so everyone can enjoy it.
Please, I'd be really thankful.

Why though the European version is exactly the same as the American version other than having more languages

Because it has more languages, that's why. Why do we have to play in English if we know there's a version translated by Nintendo itself into our languages?

What the heck are you on about the American version has one language and that is English the European version has 5 languages.

Waaaait... Let me explain... I want the European patch so it can be applied on an American ROM, that's what I want, not the opposite.

All my life i had played Videogames on english so i'm not bothered by stuff like that. Not as a child, not as a teen and not as an adult.

But I don't own a Wii U... That's why I need an Ips patch.
Well you might have wanted to say that right at the start as 99% of people on here would assume you owned one by the simple fact you are asking a question in the Wii U forum about a game realised on the WiiU lol.

I think he wants a EU version ROM dump, and an IPS patch from the US version, which knowing that the EU version is a complete recompile different, only an xdelta patch would actually make sense. An IPS patch would essentially be the entire ROM dump in patch form, with maybe less than 5% of the file being original bytes from the US version.

And he doesn't want to play it on a Wii U, he wants to play it on a GBA, where no EU version was ever released.

He seems to be in the right market for the equipment necessary to do it himself, but he just seems to be minus the Wii U or the money to actually buy a Wii U. So he wants someone else to pirate the game for him, and generate a "patch" to make it "legal". One assumes that since he is in EU region, he won't have the original game in a "legal" form, either, unless he imported it and dumped it himself.

Here is what Romhacking.net thinks of generating "patches" that turn widely available pirate copies into not-so-widely available commercial releases. Removed and a big notice put at the top. Also thanks to those releasers, there is now a permanent ROM hacker profile for some guy named "Nintendo" for their "Original Hack".

I actually own the American version, so that's ok, I need the patch to play it on an EZ Flash IV.

And the "someone else" doesn't need to pirate the game if they have it.

(Don't know the difference between patches)

IPS patches write bytes or blocks of bytes into fixed positions in files. They're OK for small patches in files that are mostly similar, but they also don't verify that they've produced a valid file or that the original file is correct, either.

XDelta patches, being delta patches, are more appropriate for this sort of thing, since they support reordering and inserting or deleting data.

But still, it's a very questionable idea releasing patches that turn one old release of a game into a newer release of the game that was never released for the original platform.
