Hacking Possible to install game directly without installing .vpk file?

Just want to add doing the rename to .mp4 just made my vita hang. but i did buy ape escape when i was on 3.35 so i just copied my save to my pc then back with the vpk in the saves folder and it seems to work until i used vitashell....hope there is a sure fire was for usb transfer of these vpks

here's an automated solution for Win/Mac/Linux to turn large .vpk into a bubble installer .vpk and a folder of large files to manually FTP. works GREAT!!!!

i don't know wich cable i can use to connect psvita to a pc usb? if the psvita not have a usb port? i read that people trasfer file over usb with qCMA
It uses some weird proprietary port/cable to connect to pc. It's the same cable as the one you charge it with.

yes i solved already, but i have this problem VPKShrink_v3.0B_win64

when i execute it say change to safe mod? y/n done. and it close.

No output whatsoever? I don't use that program myself, but try running it with -h or --help and see if it shows how to use it.

the program not have a gui? it only open a dos window. than close it

i have trouble in trasfering the vpk renamed to mp4 with qcma, if i click on refresh database the program can see the psvita and update files, but when i try to use content manager on the ps vita it can't connect to the pc with usb. why??

you have to respond with "y" or "n" and the enter key.
If you don't understand the question, it's asking if you want to mark the .vpk as "safe" so newer vitashell versions won't prompt you to verify it's safe before installing.
It doesn't matter if the original .vpk was marked as safe or not. You can choose whichever you personally prefer. I always enter "y" for yes. One less button to click on the vita during install...

ok done. but why qcma with usb, my psvita can't connect to pc using content manager?

also i have installed wipeout and the update and i got error c2 12828 1

you use qcma on PC side instead of official CMA on PC side. You DO use content manager on vita side still either way. qcma is used to block a forced firmware upgrade.
If you really dislike qcma you can get the modification files for sony's CMA called OpenCMA (current version is release 5) to block firmware updates. But then you have to trust that the mod works and keeps working. qcma actually has a setting called "offline mode" which prevents talking to sony at all, let alone firmware updating.

qcma can see my psp,, is the psp that not communicate with qcma. i don't have cma from sony installed

i solved and transfered vpk using sony cma and his driver, qcma is a shit.

but if i want to transfer a folder instead of using vpk? there is a trick to send a folder from cma to console? if only there is a way to rename a folder as a file...because i not want to transfer large vpk and than need of double free space to install them, yes i can use ftp over wifi but is slow.

How are the ftp transfer speeds on the vita? On the 3ds i know its shit, capped at around 1300kb/s at ideal situations

1. Put your large game in a seperate folder and Rename the vpk to .zip ( make a backup of original)
2. Now create a new folder and name it whatever you want eg. large files
3. left double click on the newly renamed vpk (.zip file) and winrar will open up and you will see the files of the vpk/zip.
4. Highlight all the files except (sce_module, sce_sys, eboot.bin & icon0.bin) now click "extract to" button and extract all highlighted files to the new folder you created earlier. (you will have to navigate to that folder through winrar's browse menu that pops up)
5. Once extracted, right click those highlighted files (in winrar) and choose "delete files"
6. Now that the files are deleted, close winrar and rename the .zip back to .vpk, now you are left with a vpk which is tiny, eg. 80mb instead of 3gb and all the large files are in the folder you extracted them to.
7. now just ftp the small vpk to your vita and install it, it will create the bubble of the game and it will create the correct install directory in Ux0>Apps for that particular game.
8. Now we go back to ftp and open up that newly created directory of the game eg Ux0> app > (games code) and all that happens now is that you ftp all the contents you extracted earlier into the install directory. and once complete you can then play.
I've installed all the 2gb + games like this on my 4gb memory card.
