To be, it doesn't really matter much. I'm pretty sure that I'm using a 5mbps connection and there's no difference between this and a 200+mbps connection, at least on normal use.

And also, tests never reflect the actual speed. For example, you pay for a 200mbps dl but the test shows 150mbps.

Everything loads instantly, and stuff downloads at like 2 mbps, which is normal for me. Downloading a GC .iso takes an half an hour.

Eh. What's your speed, and does it make a difference in general Internet use?

Not to be mean or anything but I already have a speed test thread :P. Although you did add an extra question. Uh well I have pretty fast internet almost 100 mbps download and 15 upload. It suits my needs. Browsing is easy and downloads are pretty quick especially on big files!

Just posted there haha. I tried many test with many different sites, speedtest.net said 88mbps, while Google's tester consistently said 9mbps. Yes, they're both dl, not upload.

Going by my download speed when downloading games, that's a nope. Deeefinitely ~2mb.
Still though, I did multiple tests.

Honestly idek any more.

lol. There's a difference mbps stands for mega*bits* when you download games it is mega*bytes*. Megabits are smaller :P

The cosmos aligned... it all makes sense now. I guess my internet is pretty standard in that case, but still, even when running super fast connections it makes no difference to me.

I always thought it was bytes for some reason, rip me
There's a reason I don't specialize in networking and communication services lmao

Trust me I've thought for the longest time too!
