Hacking Installing LUMA, just want confirmation about something

I'm currently installing LUMA to my o3ds and now I'm here
I'm at ection VI - Finalizing setup
it says : Update your CFW SysNAND to the latest version using system settings (if it is not already)
Does that mean that i must update my 3ds?
If so, will I be able to play hacked rom anyway?
Also, is there a way to ensure that I did all step correctly before updating (because if i didnt, there is no cming back i guess)
When I go to console configuration menu, it says Sys 9.2.0-20U, the Sys wasnt there before, does that mean I succesfully hacked my console?

If he did it correctly, it should open FBI instead of its normal boring self. Where he can install FBI cia which allows him to restore the app back to normal

Lol, It is boring as fuck that app, Wish 3ds is like android where we can remove bloatware.

That would happen if you don't have sig patches.

Press SELECT to update A9LH, START to uninstall
Press any other button to shutdown


I press select and I get this

Error: payload_stage1.bin doesn't exist or exceeds max size
Press any button to shutdown



I have no other choice but to shut down I can't do anything anymore

Did you remember to put the contents of noscreeninit.7z in the a9lh folder?

yes I do,
however, I deleted all useless files like sais at the end of the page, i accidentaly deleted arm9loaderhax.bin and couldn't recover it, so I put a new one in the root, does that matter?

Use the one from the luma3ds zip
that's what the troubleshooting in the guide says at least.

But I need to scan a QR code, how do i do that? never did that before
