Error C2-17770-2

Hi, first of all sorry for my bad English..

Sometimes, when you try to delete lpp bubbles from your PS Vita you receive the C2-17770-2 error. This happens when you use lowercase letters in the build.bat (thanks to @Vektast).
To fix the problem you have 2 solutions: factory reset your PS Vita or follow these steps.
  1. Identify the package name (4 letters or numbers or both. e.g. lua1);
  2. Go to ux0:app/ and delete <package_name>xxxxx folder (in my case lua100001);
  3. Go to ux0:appmeta/ and delete <package_name>xxxxx folder (in my case same as before);
  4. Go to ux0:license/app/ and delete <package_name>xxxxx folder (same as before);
  5. Optional Download ux0: iconlayout.ini on your PC and edit with a text editor (i suggest Notepad++); just delete the entire <package_name> row (in my case lua100001=00000002 00000009), save, upload to your PS Vita in the same location and overwrite it; (Thanks to @Davenor)
  6. Now turn off the PS Vita (hold power button for 2 seconds and press turn off);
  7. Hold R button + PS button + power button for 5 seconds until safe mdoe menu appears.
  8. Choose option n. 2 Rebuild Database, confirm and wait.
  9. Done.
Now your unwantend bubbles are gone.
Thanks @cearp for grammar corrections.
Cheers

Thanks for the guide!

I had an error I had to fix myself last week, I didn't post about it here, good idea. :)
(I corrupted the save file I think, and the game and shell wouldn't run... so I couldn't access savedata0:/ - I had to delete the save in ux0:/user/00/savedata and after that it was ok!)

Your English is very very good, don't worry about it. Nothing big at all, your grammar is good, your word order is good, it is simply some tiny mistakes.
I'm telling you only because I think you want to know:
delete lpp bubbles from PS Vita
from your PS... delete on your PS...
receive C2-17770-2 error
receive a/the xxx error
edit with a notepad
text editor
upload on your PS Vita in the same location and overwrite
upload to ... overwrite it

upload to just sounds better, I'm not sure if upload on is truly incorrect.
Anyway, don't apologize for your English, there is no need for that! :)

applied, copied, denied.
but not always, (surveyed :wtf:)

Hello, i found this useful topic because I have the C2-17770-2 issue on Numblast. But I don't know how to access to ux0:/.
Anyone can explain me or give me an How To please? I suppose I need an homebrew to access to this drive? Actually my PSVita have the fw 3.63.
I ask these questions because I don't want to do a Factory reset on my PSvita.
Thank you for your help !

Hi, I think you have two solutions:
- do a factory reset;
- wait until henkaku (or something like that) will be released for fw 3.63.
The choice is yours.
