Guys, I purchased fieldrunners to downgrade my n3ds on fw 11. I put the exploited save in the right folder, but prior to transfer I decide to test the game, if the save file is working, but everytime I try to play the game, I receive the error screen asking to shut down the 3ds.

Is this expected of fw 9.2 or I'm doing something wrong?

Yes, you can still do a dsi downgrade without a9lh, although it is recommended.

Should I make another backup after putting programs/games on a AL9H system so I don't lose all the games and apps I've installed if anything ever goes wrong? if so should it replace the sysNAND-A9LHAX.bin or would I just make a backup as sysNAND.bin? Also when restoring when does the .sha.bin file get used?

You can, if you want to be safe, and if are, you should make a new one instead of replacing. The .sha.bin is for the verifying that the nand is from your 3ds.

I have a Japanese 3ds XL with a 4.5 version in it, with an old 2.6 rxtools along with it.
Its been a while now, and i'm not sure if it is still working, I heard rx is already outdated.

Is there a recommended newer CFW that I can use?
(I also have a Japanese Pokemon Cartridge when i'm playing, I still want to use it, but then is it possible to make my 3ds xl english? if not it is okay)

Someone suggested me to do arm9loaderhax, with Ntr cfw but then IDK how to do it. is that a good CFW for me, if not what is best suited for me? and are there tutorials for it?

To add up I have an R4 (idk if that would help me with the process haha)

I want to play with my 3ds again with latest firmwares and games lol with online features

Yes, it is important to keep orignal SysNAND.bin. In terms of important apps, you should have Decrypt9 for payload, and you should have encTitleUpdater so can update the encTitleUpdater.bin for freeshop.

Maybe, but be careful, as now, Nintendo has been shipping new 3ds's with 11.0 firmware.

Once you delete it, and reinstall from eshop, it should return to normal.

Stick to ones that arent bundles, and dont buy them used. You are probably better off buying in store though and asking to check firmwares for compatibility (these will be safeish to buy used, the older the better)

It is safe to skip, but twl_firm is not just for ds games/flashcarts. It is also related to DSi stuff. Also, your rednand size is normal.

What it means by modifying twl_firm it means to change things in the firm itself, not actual games like fieldrunners. So in your case, yes, you can skip the step.

I'm running a9lh+luma3ds v6.0.1 I've downloaded bootanim9 zip put the anim folder on the root of the sd,renamed arm9loaderhax.bin to arm9payload.bin on my sd then put it in the anim folder,dragged the arm9loaderhax.bin from the bootanim9 zip to my sd root, added a custom animation to the anim folder and nothing just went to normal startup
