For a New 3ds under 10.7 , what would be the most convenient method of downgrading to 9.2 , Ninjhax, OOT, or Sky3ds?
If you are considering buying one of the three, there is a homebrew browser exploit for all firmwares between 9.0 and 11.0, so make sure you can do those before buying. If you can find a cheap cubic ninja, do that, if not, then go with powersaves and OoT.

System Setup: SysNand 11.0.0-33U A9LH

Sorry if this is a silly question, but if I go ahead and use emuNand9 to format/create a redNand, and then reinject a sysnand backup I made just before doing so (to sysNand), will my NNID still be set up? Or will I have to set my NNID up after restoring?

Also will setting up the rednand from a9lh be fine, or do I need to take any extra measures to retain it? Thank you.
Why do you want to have an emunand exactly? Your NNID will be on emunand, but if you are unlinking them, you will have to do some trickery to get it working again.

11.0.0-33 is the latest system version. So no that is not.

I skipped system update and did the remaining instructions....
  1. Navigate to FBI.cia and press A to install
  2. Navigate to hblauncher_loader.cia and press A to install
  3. Navigate to lumaupdater.cia and press A to install
  4. Exit with the home button
  5. Launch the Homebrew Launcher from the home menu
  6. Select "DSP Dump"
  7. Press Start when prompted to exit
  8. Reboot while holding Start to launch Hourglass9
  9. Go to SysNAND Backup/Restore, then select Health&Safety Inject
  10. Select hs.app (the original one from Part 4), then press A and confirm to inject
  11. Press Start on the main menu to reboot!
Is it okay to redo the system update and and reinstall homebrew? After that, can I sign into my wiiu nintendo mii/user into the 3ds and download stuff from the eshop?

Honestly, my only goal is to test out the Wireless Screen capture option on the NTR 3.4 , ive seen youtube videos that it seems decent at best, and its my option atm until Katsukity "repairs" my capture card, but obviously this can only be done on devices with 9.2 xD So either option can be doable, if cubic ninja is the best of the three, ill find a copy somewhere

If your system is booting with a9lh and luma succesfully installed on 9.2.0, I'm fairly sure you should be fine to update. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

What is the full firmware of your console (i.e. 10.7.0-32u).

correct 10.7.0.32U , the firmware that the super mario land N3DS has in its systems (got a bundle successfully early)

Alright another try,

Hey all, My 3ds system is on version 7.1. my emunand (GW3D 11.0.0-33E) is on that.
I always used to be able too simply press select and load up the multiple rom load menu.
Now when I do it nothing pops up (ever since updating my emunand to 11.0.0-33E.

Is there a new button combination or a solution for this?

Thank you very much ^.^

Ok...so my noobish question is the same I saw asked here a few times but I am still not 100% sure if I should continue or not
I followed the guide on git hub step by step
I got to the final steps on part 3
my sistem read "ver 9.2" so I went to luma and it said again "emu 9.2"
I updated my sistem as the guide told me to
I got ver 11...
so did I screw up myself?
should I continue with part 4 of the guide or this would brick my DS?

THANKS in advance for any response, the guide doesnt tell me what should I see when I update so that has me a little confused.

Check your firmware version, does it say "EMU 11.0.0-33"

I did, it said "emu 9.2.0" then I updated but it says "Ver 11.0.0" I tried to use luma again, but it just takes me to a black screen, and it doesnt even want to install the menuhax either.

That doesn't make sense. How exactly did you update the system? You loaded the luma CFW from homebrew loader then went to settings, saw it say EMU 9.2.0 then performed the update?

Tell me, turn the system off, then power it back on, next go directly to system menu and tell me what does it say?

I did this last night, when I saw it said "ver. 11.0" I gave up there and went to sleep
I just turned it up today and it still says "Ver. 11.0"
and yes I did exactly what you said.

Well then you need to perform a downgrade to continue. You updated the system menu, and you shouldn't have. :teach:

  1. If you do not see "Emu" in front of the version number, then you are not on RedNAND. DO NOT UPDATE, FIND WHAT WENT WRONG
  2. Update your RedNAND to the latest version using System Settings by going to the last page of "Other Settings" and selecting "System Update" (Once you exit System Settings / SD Card Management you will be returned to SysNAND, make sure to enter back into RedNAND before updating!)

yeah well that requires another DS which I dont have or downgrading it using the hardmod that I also can not do because I dont have the tools nor the experience in soldering.
  1. If you do not see "Emu" in front of the version number, then you are not on RedNAND. DO NOT UPDATE, FIND WHAT WENT WRONG [I made sure it said "Emu" before doing anything, thats why I went to activate Luma]

[after this step I got ver 11.0.0]
Thanks anyway, I should wait and see if theres any updates that let us downgrade from ver 11.0, you have been of great help.

There is a list of hardmodders here who are capiable of performing the downgrade and installation of the a9lh who would charge you a fee,it would be a decent option, unless your not in a real rush to have it right now, but you don't know how long you would be waiting to be honest. :)

Currently there is only one on the list in US and has a good review.
