If you search for posts created by me, there is a full tutorial on how you can host your own within your home. The DNS service itself is called BIND and can run on multiple platforms including Linux and Windows.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

or you can point directly at the DNS server IP's I mentioned in the original post if you'd like.
Awesome! Thank you very much! :)

It is not optimal to modify this configuration on your router as this affects all of the devices on your network, not just the WiiU.
If possible please make the DNS configuration changes only on your WiiU console.

I don't really see anyone using this tbh. Most people are fine with Tubehax. I don't know about others, but I usually leave my Wii u unplugged when not in use.

Except for, well, the fact that TubeDNS likes to randomly stop working on and off, one would think it'd be more stable.

Good evening,

I just tested these DNS ==> Primary DNS 52.40.86.243 and Secondary DNS 127.0.0.1 and it works .Ma wii U connects to the internet but on the other hand I can not go on the Eshop.

Thanks to Ninja Carver

You should use nnus patcher so you can enter eshop

No Eshop access = No System updates. it work the same on Tubehax.

Hey @Ninja_Carver, expect a lot more attention on this post. chncdcksn's DNS just got shut down, so it looks like your DNS is the go-to. Thanks for keeping this up, man!

Just to throw my alternates into the ring here... I've converted the TitleDB.com secondary and tertiary into recursive DNS servers that will block updates as well... The servers I'm operating are:

ns2.titledb.com, hosted out of the Netherlands:
081.004.127.020

and ns3.titledb.com, hosted out of LA:
168.235.092.108

Set your primary to whichever is physically closest to you for optimal performance.

no nnu patcher lets you use eshop even with dns settings applied, I'm assuming its either using an alternative server or it forges requests for the eshop using the latest system version in the requests and it sends it directly to the ip rather than using the domain name

I know that but if you're not using NNU Patcher the fact that you can't access the Eshop is a sigh that the dns are blocking what they are supposed to be blocking.
