Well then :3
Back to the drawing board, I'll ask frangarj, maybe a small screwup on the script

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Edit: LOL seems to be a really bad mistake on the buildbot script, check back in 20 minutes :)

Yeah, I don't think a 32 byte file is quite right lol.

Off to bed, but gave it about 30 minutes of testing with a few cores. So far:

fceumm (NES) - Played great! No issues with a few games tried.
catsfc (SNES) - I'm guessing that this is the same one that I had installed prior...still has issue with SMB All Stars not moving. Don't see option to play as 2P.
snes9x_next (SNES) - Couldn't get a game to load. Tried multiple roms with .sfc extension. Tried .zip files as well. No dice on any. What kind of file should I be using here?
fb_alpha_cps2: Worked great! Nice not having to worry about a cache file.
fb_alpha_neo: Tried samsho2 rom in .zip format. Failed to load. Had the neogeo.zip file in same directory as rom. Should it go elsewhere? Should the rom be unzipped?

Will try tomorrow when not so sleepy. Great job so far though!!

It seems some of these are overwriting each other when installed. catsfc, handy, the mednafen cores, and a few others overwrite the same bubble when installed.

Catsfc interestingly crashes after the intro of SMRPG. I don't know why. I don't know if the Libretro build is different from the skogaby build emulationwise, though.

I might port over SNESAdvance romhacks tomorrow to Snes9x-Next.

Ill give it a month. I already have it installed and its wonderous to finally have even just a little homebrew (finally got me a custome theme).

With what the Vita can do, i honestly think the community will make much more use for it than sony did. Its virtually a playstation hub, so i wouldnt be surprised if we may even get to the point that ps4 brew would work in tandem with psv brew someday.

Of course thats just a dream, but my point is for those iffy on doing this, give it a month for something amazing to happen.

Agreed, give it a little time and hopefully we'll get to the point where the console is fully exploited and we can see close to 3DS levels of control, where everything is open for homebrew and at a certain level Sony can't patch it out.

Nightly builds are usually built nightly/daily (Get it?) by an automated system. They contain whatever changes were made to source that day, for better or for worse (They are not tested for functionality).

Basically, you don't have to compile them yourself (But honestly, compiling crap in general isn't difficult). You'll just download the .vpks and go.

I don't understand what I'm looking at, when I downloaded the zip it contained a bunch of velf files, I only know how to install vpk files

EDIT: that's alright tho, I only need the Vita for portable SNES which already had a vpk released and that works beautifully

You need to download the most recent nightlies. Look at the date and pick the one that says 8/2.

Anybody know how we can bring up the Retroarch menu in-game?

That should allow us to see core options, thus switch controllers and make Mario playable in CATSFC. :)

I think the default buttons to press to open up the menu while playing a game are L1+R1+start+select. Also, these buttons can be changed in the settings.
