Homebrew 2.1.0 U N3DS Never works. Help me please.

I tried a bunch of sd cards, but not a 4GB. I'll give it a go with reinand and a 4GB sd card. I got that n3ds a while ago and kinda just gave up on that specific one.

tl;dr, we have... ways to downgrade to 2.1 that are much safer for everyone, yet don't require setting up a redNAND/emuNAND. Anyone who is thinking of following the guide, wait a few days for the changes, they're quite nice

Nope, just got another brick. I used the original toshiba 4GB sd card and the latest reinand and no dice. I got this 3ds in a trade so who knows what's been done to it. I already tried all the troubleshooting advice. Here are some pics.

Try remaking your rednand/emunand? I had an o3DS that refused to validate until I changed it to an Emunand and formatted with tinyformat 15 times (I counted). It worked finally, and I finally got the darn thing working.

damn, I have nothing. Try contacting placiet or someone who has a better understanding of a9lh. The guide will get a massive update that will make the process eaiser in a few days, so check it every once in a while

Yup, I know. I wouldn't mind using it without cfw at all, but it's European so I need cfw for game updates. All my cartridges are American.

oh SHIT that sucks. If you still can't get arm9 after the update, you may want to get a used 2ds from gamestop, only $50. May be worth it

No, that method is risky and shouldn't be performed. All will be revealed in the guide, as well as some other very nice details that this enables, it's a lot more than just downgrading

I haven't looked into that method. Isn't it just for downgrading to 9.2? I can do hardmods so I never paid any attention to that.

Oh, sorry, I fogot. It was DSi downgrade, but it was to dowgrade to 9.2. I don't think that it will work with 2.1 though.

Maybe you can try to do it all over again, but format your New 3DS and your SD card and then proceed with the A9LH setup.

Downgrading with process9 is incredibly stable (it's how GW's old method worked for 9.2 to 4.5, and that never bricked) and could probably allow cutting out the EmuNAND/RedNAND step entirely.
