tbh there is a reason NTRcardhax never got used, because 9.3-10.3 can be downgraded via software methods anyway....making NTRcardhax pretty much redundant from the day it was announced.....now if it would have been kept back until 11.0 in theory it could have allowed 11.0 downgrades without a hardmod....but oh well i cant exactly complain
The nature of the 32c3 conference was to completely break the 3DS' security on every level on latest firmware. An arm9 exploit was necessary for that to happen. As installing A9LH requires existing arm9 control [as it needs to write directly to NAND] it didn't count. I'm sure there are more private arm9 exploits, as somebody [I forget who] wrote on 3DBrew a while back: Full system control exploits are only public for system versions up to and including 9.2.0-X. yeah i understand that, i was just saying that a arm9 exploit would be needed for a 11.0 downgrade, and the ntrcardhax is the most recent arm9 exploit disclosed
IMHO, there might not be any current arm9 exploit, even if private. But one will avoid being wrong if they say "public".
And nobody used it cuz mch2 was also there x.x

Please please PLEASE would everyone stop throwing this info around like candy. If you need to give someone info like this send it in PM. The more under-the-table we keep this the less likely Ninty is to patch it. That's the main reason it was kept hush-hush.
If the game is pulled from eShop will it be sent over system transfer still? I don't know how system transfer works.
Actually, the patch for this is the exact same as for the hardmod downgrade, so it doesn't matter anyway. Making 11.1 incompatible with an older NATIVE_FIRM, like 9.6 is incompatible with an older NATIVE_FIRM iirc.
Just saying, once you are able to downgrade, don't get a Gateway. They are a shady business built on stolen code and lies. Not to mention they are completely useless if you have CFW, which takes about 20 minutes to set up and is free.
