If you signed the NDA, you know you can't do that?
No Reverse Engineering. You will not directly or indirectly reverse engineer, or aid in the reverse engineering of, all or any part of the Services including without limitation any hardware, software, controller, development tools, or kits, except as specifically permitted under applicable laws and regulations.
and probably other parts I didn't quote.

You can't use the SDK for homebrew purpose either, and you can't release any created tool or app using the SDK.

Though you can make "homebrew" apps using the SDK and release the source code (no binaries) for people who want to compile it as long as what you released doesn't include any Nintendo-copyrighted code.

yes, I guess you can release you game's sourcecode.
I don't know Nintendo's position on open source projects for the officially signed devs.
The NDA only mention the sources released on their forum.
Isn't there a clause like not talking about or releasing your project elsewhere than on their plateform?

Cyan would you know if , making the cia usable on a retail console count? (Probably does just asking)

You can't use their tools to release anything non officially licensed.
it includes generating a cia file created with their tools. it would include copyrighted code (boot code, etc.)

if you want to create a cia for homebrew purpose, you need to use existing open source cia tools created by hackers/homebrew developers.

if you use SDK for your own benefit, on your own console, and never release anything, you can do what you want. nobody will know.

You can't make the CIA run on an non-modded retail console. You need to disable sig checks using a CFW.
The software you make using the CTR_SDK can run on dev units, and to make it run on retail unit you have to send Nintendo a submission form. They will review your source code and compile it themselves, and sign it using their certificate.

No I ment Voxel had a tutorial to make it usable, so I know how, if I made them and installed them (things like friend add tool and stuff) does that break the NDA

I don't know what he did nor how it's used. but doing anything that's not designed to be used this way is not good, I guess.

Releasing anything done with SDK is illegal. and voxel studio knows that, he even said his wiiu game would never be released on gbatemp, but on "iso site" because that's the only place illegal files can be found. Putting it on ISO site is breaking the NDA.
so, you can make them, you can install them, but for yourself if you are in peace with yourself doing that. nobody would know what you do privately.

You still need a CFW. Anyways, these are Nintendo-copyrighted tools and I'm pretty sure you don't have them in the CTR_SDK you can get legally.

That sdk is full of stuff you wouldn't think is in there.
I downloaded it. I didn't see any of these tools (EDIT: nvm I didn't search well enough). And installing them to a retail unit is breaking the NDA, which can get you in serious shit.
