Try redownloading the update pack.
Use your entry point to install menuhax then try again running plaisysupdater from menuhax. It will work after 1 or 2 tries, probably just patching 1 file, then you can continue.
If he downgraded enough files then menuhax will work

Browserhax should work to install menuhax if you can use it. Menuhax usually installs ok on partials but if you can't get it installed, then I guess it's worth trying another method.I tried installing menu_hax but for some reason it's not working. I'm on a partial downgrade so my system already says 9.2 firm but I know it didn't finish. I'm trying something real quick to see if menuhax can install. I say use Plai so he isn't going through another full downgrade... but that's just my suggestion
I don't hate them. If op is failing with plaisysupdater, I'm recommending him another downgrader
