Help a brotha noob out. I'm following Plailect and I need to update to 9.2, but I don't understand exactly which steps I'm supposed to do for that. Thanks.

On EUR it'll be either be 8.1 or 9.9 - On USA it'll either be 8.1 or 9.2

But anyways, assuming OP has a working browser, then OP should use the link ihaveamac gave.

Otherwise, OP would need to try for a DS Flashcart for the MSET method.

I got a glitched screen so I turned off to try again. Now when I boot with no SD it just turns on and then immediately off and if I boot with the SD it gives black screen. Any help is much appreciated as it's 4 in the morning and I have a deadline. Thanks.

Troubleshoot said if I got a glitched screen to just press Select to install anyway and wait for a reboot which never happened, thank god it went ok. Thank you.

In this case Sky3DS(+) is better than SSB legit cart because finding 9.2U revision of the cart is difficult or expensive but easy and cheap on emulating it with Sky3DS(+).

But according to a Chinese tester, Cart-updated 9.2.0-4U cannot boot HBL properly until he cart-upgraded it to 9.9.0-4U (then DG to 9.2.0-20U).
So it's less recommended than 6.X ---(rxTools method)---> 9.2.

you shouldn't. FBI is free and open source and does everything Dev Menu/BBM did. BBM is just a renamed Dev Menu.

BBM used to be better than FBI in some ways, these days FBI improves upon BBM in every aspect and also adds a host of new features, there is really no reason you would want to use BBM.

You honestly don't have to use FBI. Both managers get the job done. I'm not gonna tell you what you should use, but take what the folks above me have said into consideration.
