FBI has been updated to v2.3.1
  • Add DS cartridge save erase function.
  • Allow entering a title version when installing from CDN from the ticket list.
  • Only ask to install from CDN when a ticket is being installed.
  • Fix updating from installed FBI.

So does the save injection for ds roms work with saves from flash carts or emulators? or only from other legit ds carts?
Legit carts, unless the flashcart works like a Sky3DS, and there aren't any like that afaik.

EDIT: Iirc, there are save injectors in .nds format that you can put on your flashcart.

@Steveice10 I have a small improvement suggestion for the main menu.
It would be nice to be able to cycle through the menu entries, so a single UP button pressing brings us from the top menu entry to the bottom one. And why not categorize the main menu into groups with submenus, for example: Nand options, Title options, Save Data options, etc.?
Thank you!

If I'm reading what you're asking correctly, then you should be able to use save files from flash cards, as long as they're the same format and filesize (and I think there are converters that you can use for emulator save files).

I tried updating FBI 2.3.0 via the in-app command, and it gave me the following error:

Failed to update FBI
Result code: 0xE0E046BE
Level: Usage (28)
Summary: Invalid Argument (7)
Module: FS (17)
Desc: Invalid path / Inaccessible archive (702)

I've updated it once before through the in-app command, and that was from 2.2.6 to 2.3.0.

Well, yeah. I am an A9LH user with gridlauncher. But at least the cia works.
Gridlauncher: as far as I know, the latest gridlauncher doesn't have support for some newer hax features (mmaps for 9.6-crypto games being one of them, for example).

you're not supposed to use the 3dsx version with custom firmware though? it doesn't have the right permissions.
Also this.

Hmm, could be due to gridlauncher. As far as I know, latest gridlauncher doesn't have support for some newer hax features (mmaps for 9.6-crypto games being one of them, for example).

Good, because I don't care about the 3dsx that much anyway. Thought there could be a general bug hidden in there (for other users too). Thanks anyway.

You will need to do it manually; there was a bug with the updater fixed in 2.3.1.
