Just got to Dewford and was able to switch back with no problem. I have no idea when it may break again though

Try the Cro-Fragment build, disabling the ShaderJit option. It worked for me.

You have to use a save game to get passed the intro as it crashes with black screen but anyway it's only playable until the receiving bug kicks in. We Still waiting on a fix

Guys i made a video on how to fix the Petalburg woods crash
Thanks to shump for posting the fix.
It also works with any version of the rom, and id also say it most likely works maybe on any version of Citra??.
Anyway hopefully now that the devs know the game works with Korean they will be able to fix whatever the problem is with english.

it is 100% from citra. first i change the language to japan and then leave petalburg. after that, save and change back to english. until now i havent got any crash when entering or exiting petalburg.
