hello! i noticed by reading that a few people here are registered nintendo developers that have access to unity 3ds. I was wondering if any of you dudes would like to export some as a cia for the old or new 3ds? there is a way to do it for old 3ds but it is a lot slower

there are some example projects here: unity3D | Example Projects - Armedunity

here is a tutorial to make a 2d mario game in unity: http://coffeebreakcodes.com/sample-projects-unity/2d-mario-game-unity3d/

here is a clone of Super Mario 64 in HD unity http://www.gameflare.com/online-game/super-mario-64-hd/ this one is not taken down!

honestly any unity project from anywhere online would be amazin! thanks gbatemp!!

halo would be cool but kinda weird on 3ds
its weird having ps1 games on the n3ds yet people have made it work... sometimes we need to explore the weirdness of ourselves to find something that is truly accepted

Just keep something in mind when asking for pc ports, converting something in to c++ from a different language is VERY hard. And just be sure to only ask for ports that we have a source of (you seem to be doing that, so good). Making a port without the source is almost impossible

hey it was justa suggestion and it's just halo. I know its hard but it's not like we're talking about porting overwatch or something, It's possible but improvable due ti the current circumstances. maybe in a few months or next year tis could happen

I will be hyped 24/7 because of monster hunter generations, attack on titan: wings of freedom US release, ds emulation on 3ds coming closer to be perfect and now, halo on 3ds... I want to go crazy with hype and throw my wallet at the screen hoping that something even more awesome happens! yes I love hyping over video games because its my passion I will wait a month or even a year to play halo on my n3ds :D (might exaggerated a little but, I have done more than I should of to make my point)

Leaking the 3ds module would be useless, since from my quick look at it and from my experience with xbone and ps4/vita, you cannot package a "cia" or anything that can be used on anything other than a development console, everything is tied into a server aswell, Unity cant even see our ps4 dev kit when we arent logged into the Sony developer portal. Although I havent packaged a 3ds game, but knowing the process of the competition, with the number of "indie" studios, alot of hands are tied when working with a devkit. But it wouldnt be impossible to output an opengl game from unity, ive seen tools that can use unity as a android wallpaper, it would just take abit of work and clever coding.

Or it could be like the Wii U version, where it is not tied to a server, also has the option to just export the filesystem and the executable, and can then be built however you like.

Nope; it is possible to run the build on retail 3DSs through Luma3DS Dev Mode, I think... I definitely have seen people do that with Unity builds before.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
