It's playable on N3DS, but it's slow for most games. Dynarec is currently being implemented, so we will get speed improvement.Well there is someone currently working on a NDS emulator but it's not playable (yet)
Even if it was possible, the ROM would have to be modified in order to work, or else it will just white screen.
Offtopic: We should make a number counter to see how many threads have been made to ask the same question.

Yes you can, you only need to have the cartridge, but it doesn't cost anything to play it"can i play ds roms on my ds for free

afaik when you run a ds game on the 3ds it simply clears any sort of 3ds code from the ram & cpu (besides the home button code), and it uses whatever resources are available (i wager about 96% available) to run the DS game
so, when a DS game is running, there aren't enough resources available to run the home menu in the background, any streetpass/spotpass programs, any online capabilities (besides the DS ones, but those are deprecated), and all that stuff
but the 3ds system reboots into "DS backwards compatability" mode, so any hacks you have running (e.g. gateway mode) get disabled
unless we can find a way to make the system not reboot when going into ds-mode (afaik a step which can not get removed), we will not get DS games through the home menu

No but you can use it as a controller, simply follow the tutorial below but plug the toaster into the SD card reader.

a toaster doesn't have a microcontroller, so no, you cannot.
it's just a bunch of high wattage high resistance resistors that convert mains power to themal energy

I've been to his chicken restaurant he started in his 2nd movie, Holy Chicken, was pretty good. It is only 15-20 miles from me in Ohio. It only lasted 1 yr or so then closed tho.

There are very few people I just have just an immense dislike of and he's one of those very few people, the only other example is Gene Simmons. My musician uncle on my mother's side of the family actually met Gene once during some event and said he was the most unpleasant person to be around.
