Alright, I am fairly new to the 3DS and its Homebrew Development and I have a couple of questions here.

I have been reading and it didn't take me long to figure out that accepting to the last update was a major mistake in the regards to obtaining any sort of Homebrew software on my 3DS, however, I am wondering what all options there are at the given time considering I've already goofed and accepted to this update. (Should've known better.. I already have experience from the numerous android hacking/development forums to know usually update=Patched exploits..)

I have read discussion on a "Hardmod" and I was wondering how I might go about doing this and what the possible downsides to this procedure would be.. I am assuming from the context I read that the process outlines bypassing the system interface (Hence "Hardmod" or "J-Tag" as some call it.) and tapping the NAND in order to flash older firmware.

I'd also like to know what (If anything at all..) I can do as far as Homebrew is concerned since accepting to this update, please forgive me if this is a typical question and if I'm being far too optimistic here guys. I am really interested in seeing what can be done.. although, I don't have much money to spare at the time for a Hardmod (Considering I am no engineer by any stretch of the imagination and wouldn't trust myself with a soldering iron.. I have experience software and hardware wise but nothing along the lines of soldering and creating circuit boards...Needless to say, in order to obtain a "Hardmod" I would have to ask someone to do it for me.) or anything along those lines so I am just curious if there were absolutely anything I can do as my situation stands right now.

Any information is appreciated guys!

You can access homebrew on 11.0 either by having Cubic Ninja or FreakyForms. You can play homebrew applications such as emulators and games created by the community but that's as far as you can do on 11.0. And as you read, the only way you can do further more, which is playing 3ds games on a CFW, is by doing a hard mod on your console and downgrading it. If there's anything I miss, please add it guys. Thanks

You can access homebrew on 11.0 either by having Cubic Ninja or FreakyForms.

Ninjhax works only on CFW for 11.0.
Other alternatives are supermysterychunkhax or basehaxx. (But basehaxx seems to have trouble to work with digital versions of the game.)
Or, if you were lucky enough to get one of the required games before they were taken down, you can isntall (v*)hax or humblehax.

Edit: Bad grammar. I guess.

I think the best option is to wait for someone to find some way to perform the downgrade safely through the Homebrew Laucher.
They have discovered a way to get it in the current version. It should not be long before they find a way to perform the downgrade.

I actually didn't see much on FreakyForms during my reading, is there anything you could point me to on that method please?

I was reading on the "Cubic Ninja" exploit aka Ninjhax, but, I cannot seem to find a copy that isn't $80+ on any online store.

You have to forgive me here guys, I'm just now getting into the 3DS hacking scene.. My last hacking battle with Nintendo was on the Wii a couple of years ago so I can say that I am inexperienced. I actually didn't realize how new this update is, I kinda assumed that it was just an older update that I was just now getting since my system was bought second hand and I know the previous owner never connected it to the internet. (Had to use an online generator to get a parental controls master key. Everything was locked! Literally! )

Pretty much plutooo tweeted that it's already removed from the Eshop :rofl2:
:hateit:Well thanks for that Nintendo/Game publisher(Edit: Looking it up... Double thanks Nintendo).. Next question is, what are the chances of getting a grand console ban for performing this? And.. Have the cartridge copies inflated in price yet like Cubic Ninja did?

The price went up. But it's around 50 bucks, so, better then Cubic Ninja used to be, I guess...?
There is basicly no chance of getting banned for using homebrew alone. If you hack your save game you have a chance of getting banned from that game, depending on the game itself and on what you changed. Also, using CFW (especially in combination with piracy) could lead to a ban, idk. But since you can't downgrade on 11.0 using homebrew alone, it doesn't matter for you anyway.

Yeah... That's far out of my price range... Maybe about $900 too high.. :O So... any other options? Like.. That doesn't cost a thousand dollars? The cheapest copy I see of it is $60..but.. would it be cheap to say that seems like too much to pay for a game that I knowfor certain I won't play and will only need once.

Sigh... I don't have so much luck in europe. So, I'm stuck with supermysterychunkhax here, making me unable to play the game.

Ooooo That's better! That's not too much to pay in my opinion.

PS, a little behind on my posts here.. Keep having to wait in order to reply. It's because I'm ne where, spam protection.. Understandable but at the same time annoying.

Also, that $35 dollar copy is now gone :) Thanks to our friend PayPal

Thanks Akara! I appreciate it! Now for it to get here.
