Since my birthday is Friday I'm wondering if I should trade in my iPad Mini 3 to pay for a NVIDIA Shield Tablet https://shield.nvidia.com/tablet/k1 or if there's a better alternative, lemme know below, thanks :)
I kinda don't like my iPad anymore because of the 16GB internal storage and the 'planned obsolescence' because ever since iOS 9, my iPad has been laggy af and it's not as smooth to game on it unlike my iPod Touch, which I use for a iOS experience (since iPhones are overpriced)

It's a really great tablet for gaming. You should buy it if gaming if your number one use for it if not, don't.

Yes it is, but I'm curious if NVIDIA is going to release a new version or if there's a better alternative to it. That $200 price tag is kinda hard to beat, and it runs a stockish ROM which is appealing to me too

I Love my ipad mini. Dunno, not an Apple fan specifically, and not opposed to Android. I would only consider it if your tablet is not doing something you need it to do.
I demand more performance from it. It's a slower Apple A7 (Apple's first 64 bit arm CPU) and it feels sluggish with the newest OS. Apple continues to lock up emulators on it, but when emulators do come to it, it's not of full performance. (Coming from n64 emulation on retroarch) everyone's opinion differs but I hate seeing lag upon animations inside the OS. iOS 8 ran smooth on this but iOS 9 runs like crap on this, and all the patches never fixed the lag. (Planned obsolescence?) I can try to ignore the lag but I'll just end up switching to the shield if there's no alternative to it which is the leading vote to this poll.

To be honest i would say get the shield portable since it kinda like a android version of Nintendo ds in HD, comes pre installed with sonic 4 episode 2 but it has a controller attached and aa flip screen, but the tablet does have more common features like the camera and the stylus and the marshmellow update which is good.

If Nivida did re release the portable with a K1 or X1 chip in a new model, with a camera build in, i would buy it all over again.:toot:

The tablet is better though, the portable is the size of the controller itself and it doesn't look that sturdy imo. It looks like it could break easily. The tablet on the other hand looks like a better option with better specs
