i decide to install A9LH on mu old 3DS
i already have the OTP files,i have complied file arm9loaderhax.3dsx in the 3DS folder

sysnand 9.2
emunand 11.0

now i am using menuhax to load luma3DS 5.5
i want to make sysnand is my CFW,so i follow Plailect's guide exactly?
should i delete boot.cfg that i am using with menuhax? or just delete menuhax to not cause any problem?

what will happen to my emunand after i make sysnand CFW? it will becaome emunand 9.2?

last time i did that i couldn't boot to emunand and that's made me worry.

also, what about the games on emunand? i have 32GB SD card, 18GB is filled with games, they going to be transferred to sysnand? or should i delete some games?

If you follow the guide completely, the end result should be a (O/N)3DS with AL9H installed, CFW automatically booting into sysNAND, and a patch in place that blocks updates to the FIRM0/1 partitions.

Since you said you've already got your OTP and are back at 9.2, you don't need menuhax anymore. The browser will suffice.

As for your games, if sysNAND is going to be the main thing you use, the guide covers copying emuNAND over to sysNAND, so your games and everything will be on sysNAND if you so choose. You won't need to delete any games because they don't get duplicated; the NANDs just read from the same place afterwards.

However, if your sysNAND has games on it separate from your emuNAND, you don't have to copy it over. You can still access it through your CFW, but depending on which version of CFW, the method will be different. Your emuNAND doesn't get downgraded; that wouldn't make any sense.

Last thing I'll tell you is if something goes wrong with your emuNAND, you should have at least one backup that's recent considering the process.

You could make an EmuNand backup rn then restore it to SysNand with HourGlass9 if it doesn't let you boot EmuNand

EDIT; EmuNand is left untouched after installation

Unless HourGlass9 has the option to keep AL9H intact after restoring it to sysNAND, I don't recommend this. I haven't tinkered around with HourGlass9, so I'm only saying this as a precaution and not to say I know, you know?

Hourglass9 always keeps A9LH on backup iirc, as accidental A9LH uninstalls are why Hourglass9 was made :P

ok,this is weird
i backed up my emunand 11.0

and noticed the guide is updated, but i put the files as they say

deleted menuhax and boot to HBL using ninjhax
then installed arm9loaderhax.3dsx
it took some payload files like payload_stage1.bin and payload_stage2.bin
then, system restarted and booted to emunand 11.0 directly.
it was really quick boot, felt like sysnand, but went to system settings and saw Emu 11.0

i didn't even change luma settings yet,if i press select i boot to luma menu settings and can force boot to sysnand 9.2

i didn't inject my emunand to sysnand.
i boot to emunand in 9 seconds.

is this bad?

What were you trying to achieve exactly? Where did you get that arm9loaderhax.3dsx from and what for? Was it SafeA9LHInstaller?

i was trying to make my sysnand is my default CFW to give the O3DS to my little borther.
arm9loaderhax.3dsx is from several month ago i complied it from the OTP file i got.
no,it's not from SafeA9LHInstaller,i used OTP helper i think to downgrade to 2.1 and got the OTP then got back to 9.2.

i also want to mention i installed A9LH several month ago but i felt weird and something wrong so i restored my sysnand to 9.2.

honestly,if i leave it like that, will be that ok for the kids?

Oh, so now you would like to flash the EmuNAND to SysNAND and get rid of the EmuNAND, right? It's not necessary but it's better, especially for O3DS, since with EmuNAND if your little brother accidentally removes the SD card it will just crash.

You have an arm9loaderhax.bin (which is Luma3DS) file on the root of your SD card, correct?

Maybe i'll keep it like that,it's 100% boot rate and 9 seconds and emunand.
But is this normal? never saw someone with this setup.

Yes,i have arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of my SD card.

Well, that setup is basically just an arm9loaderhax'ed 3DS running under Luma3DS which loads an EmuNAND by default instead of SysNAND. It's not a common setup because people tend to prefer having only a SysNAND, and also since a lot of people are just following Plailect's guide (in which you end up with only SysNAND since a couple of months now).

Anyway, if at some point you feel like replacing SysNAND with EmuNAND, you'll have to use Hourglass9 to make a backup of EmuNAND and then flash it to SysNAND.
Just download the latest release, extract the arm9loaderhax.bin, rename it to something like <button>_Hg9.bin, and copy it to the /luma/payloads folder.

Depending on the button you set, you'll be able to load Hourglass9 on boot by holding that button (like you do with Select for Luma options). For example, if you name it start_Hg9.bin, you'll have to hold start to boot it (check here for more details).

Thanks,keeping this setup for now:D

Is there any advantage in sysnand a9lh other than easy installation on gba games?
They will mainly use the console to play 3DS games only.

If the SD card is good, not really. Even if they get to SysNAND somehow by accident and update it, this will not remove A9LH anyway (since Luma3DS is protecting it). Don't forget to backup the EmuNAND often though, just in case (even if theoretically nothing should go wrong).

And you're welcome! :)

Yes, you can use Luma's chainloading feature (what I described before for Hourglass9).

You'll need to go to Gateway's website, under the "Private Beta Program", and download the arm9loaderhax.bin.zip file. From the zip you'll have to grab the arm9loaderhax.bin file, rename it to something like <button>_GW.bin (for example: x_GW.bin) and copy it to the /luma/payloads folder.

After that, holding X on boot while having the GW cart should start the GW mode (don't forget the Launcher.dat though).
