A possibly n00b question: I want to switch my 3DS from Gateway to Luma3DS, converting my GW roms to CIA. I have 500+ hours of gamesaves for those GW roms, and I really don't want to lose them - is it possible to back them up and make them usable for CIA games? (can anyone link to a tutorial if there's one?) Also, is the switch even possible if my 3DS is on sysnand 4.5 with no games for updating to 9.x? And a secondary issue: will I be able to use my GW blue card on the Luma3DS emuNAND?

I'm currently using Plailect's guide on getting the OTP, I'm on Section II Part 15.

I've had a similar problem doing this a while ago, which I screwed around with bricked my N3DS, I've done the steps correctly(to my knowledge anyway).

I have the "Validation Stage 1: FAILED" and "Validation Stage 2: FAILED" error.

Any ideas?

Lately I can't seem to play online with classic mode and I really want to play with my retail MH4U.
What am I doing wrong here?I even have 3.71 Gateway firmware launcher installed.
Does anyone have the same problem too with Classic Mode?

Dsi games can be installed like a .cia
atm You need to buy a flashcart to play ds games on the 3ds. I recommend buying from Gbatemp's sponsor nds-card.com

A9LH and luma3DS here, can i use CHMM2 on sys 11.0.0-33? ive got it on HBL i got the themes showing up when i click install it pops up for a brief second, disappears then does nothing at all.. not sure if its because im a too high firmware or doing something wrong.

Works fine for me. Have you got them placed in the "Themes" folder?

Yeah am i mean to be set to default theme or anything (currently set to a Zelda theme i brought when themes first came out) nothing happenes once i return back to home menu

Try Howling Theme Tool. CHHM2 ended up giving me lots of problems as well.

Also, you might lose any paid themes or be unable to use them. I don't care about that, so to me it works just fine.

Prob easiest to go find a youtube video, thats what i did for CFW (Reinand) (but unless you want something more complex like A9HL you want to try reddit or the wiki)

no please do not use YouTube videos, they usually get outdated quickly and they are harder to update.

Like to add, that you would still need a DS Flashcart to play DS Backups. DSi games though, you should be able to play them just fine.

Also, please don't use a Youtube video on A9LH, those get outdated fast. For other stuff, maybe. Still the wiki has all the info one could possible need, even if all you want is a menuhax+RedNAND//EmuNAND setup.

I tried updating to 9.2 and on step 8 of the guide it would send me back to the home screen with a save data error (can find out the actual error name if that would help). Can't seem to get past that step. Suggestions? Thanks everyone else for such quick responses.

make sure you have a file at the root called "Decrypt9.dat". if you have one called "Decrypt9WIP.dat", use http://dukesrg.github.io/?Decrypt9WIP.dat instead
