no, downgrade involves patching a check that only lets us install versions equal or higher.downgrade IS installing legit cia. they are THE SAME THING.
we can install legit cias without patching that.

Read my previous posts here. TL;DR: It did but it did it on the wrong protocols so it's still possible, but not for NFIRM so it's useless anyway.Didn't V11 introduce something to prevent downgrades by uninstalling->reinstalling?
So pretty much we're stuck with hardmod to downgrade NFIRM?Read my previous posts here. TL;DR: It did but it did it on the wrong protocols so it's still possible, but not for NFIRM so it's useless anyway.
Until there's an arm9 exploit on 11.0So pretty much we're stuck with hardmod to downgrade NFIRM?
And when do you think that will be?Until there's an arm9 exploit on 11.0
Maybe never, maybe tomorrow, nobody knows. And when do you think that will be?
Well, I'm not in a position to give a timetable, but the guy who's reversing it is absolutely brilliant so I doubt it'll take too much longer, maybe a few weeks. And when do you think that will be?
svcBackDoor has nothing to do with downgrading.Don't we need an Arm9 Kernal exploit since they patched SVC backdoor?
Ok, but it can be useful to instal legit cia files that doesnt install to the NAND, like a legit cia gameRead my previous posts here. TL;DR: It did but it did it on the wrong protocols so it's still possible, but not for NFIRM so it's useless anyway.
That could be done without the AM service workaround and only with an arm11 kernel exploit.Ok, but it can be useful to instal legit cia files that doesnt install to the NAND, like a legit cia game
When it happens. And when do you think that will be?
You can't downgrade NATIVE_FIRM from 11.0 (even with an arm11 exploit) due to the hardcoded list. There's a simple workaround. If we would have a arm11 exploit, we just have to downgrade native_firm (then that hardcoded list isn't active), then we need to restart and downgrade the rest. And boom, 9.2
All we need is a arm11 exploit...

An ARM11 exploit isn't going to be able to let you downgrade NFIRM since it can't bypass the minimal title version listThere's a simple workaround.
