I thought you could use SMDhax with another system to install it? Oh well... guess I wait.

And I wish I had Cube Ninja >.<
You can use another system to install the hax on PSMD. I know because I have done this.
Just make sure during the installation of the hax on PMSD you select 10.7 for the payload version.
A 11.0 payload doesn't exist at the moment as far as I know. The installer will automatically select the payload version of the currently installed firmware. You can use the keypad to select another version.
And the payload for 10.7 works without problems on 11.0.

BTW: Cubic Ninja doesn't work on 11.0 too.

Sorry, my mistake. You can't use the powersave dongle to setup smdhax because there isn't any prepared saves collection (afaik), but you can use the installer on another system if you own a physical copy of the game.

Do smdhax work on 11.0 though ? I didn't really catch up with what was fixed or not, Andrea just told nothing worked anymore^^

PS: I've got the "items not updated" fixed and tab navigation working (but its behaviour is still not perfect). I'll see what I do after tomorrow's update.

Edit : Looks like tab navigation is done : Entering the items grid w/ Tab selects the first item of the list whereas Shift + Tab selects the last one (that's what I surprisingly had a lot of trouble to do).

Yes, smdhax does work on 11.0. I have used it.
It is currently the only game cartridge hax together with Smashhax which works on 11.0.

Fantastic!
Thanks for your great work you have done so far.

I am not sure if there will be an update tomorrow.
We will see.

I'll give it a shot then! I have a hard copy, thankfully.

How much do we want to bet that since I fell asleep and such now I won't be able to do it because of a forced update or some such that renders this inoperable again with 11 lol

I just synced my current progress to github, in which I added skill level editing directly in the Owned box.
I dumped the latest update's files and should include them during the day, but I don't plan on doing much more on this update since the only thing it added was new mission cards, basically (I may add it someday, but since it doesn't give you any reward it is not an important matter, same for pokathlon).

Not sure if I should release this yet.

Great, I'll test it later tonight.

I don't think you should do anything about mission cards. They serve nothing but a personal challenge to a person. If it's the item a person is after, they can get them directly from the editor. I literally see no point in adding it.

Thanks once again for the update (and I hope you did well on your exams!)

Ok, so I have my savedata.bin file off my n3ds and on my laptop where I can open it with the shuffle editor...

After I make changes, what EXACTLY do I have to do in order to import it back to my n3ds without accidentally corrupting my save file? I'm so sorry if this is a dumb question I am so technologically impaired when it comes to this sort of thing XD

Well, first make a copy and keep it somewhere on your laptop. I just copy the dated folder it's in (I use JKSM) and keep all of the backups I make for now. After you edit the original, transfer it back to the SD card. From your 3DS, just make sure you do something about the secure value when importing it back. JKSM does this automatically for you.

Like fireguy, I also keep a copy of my saves on my PC, then I open those copies in PSSE and save them directly on my 3ds. I use JKSV, but svdt does exactly the same job.

Just use the same program to restore the edited savefile (both svdt and JKSM auto-patch secure value), and if the game says it is corrupted then just restore your backup. As long as you have a backup to restore you're good to go (there's no risk of breaking your game or console by importing a savefile).

JKSM? that doesn't sound familiar

JKSM is a .cia save manager, so you need a CFW to install it (which basically means you had to do stuff back on 10.7, which isn't possible on 11.0 anymore).
svdt (and SDM, but svdt is way better imo) is an homebrew save manager, so you can use it as long as you have access to HBL (which is possible on 11.0).

There are a few differences, but regarding Pokemon Shuffle both are strictly identical (despite where they both put the saves they extract^^).

@supercarotte

I built the editor with the latest commits earlier. I manually put the skill level for the eligible few to level 5, and it worked great!

Thanks again for keeping this up to date :)

You're welcome .

Anyone, please tell me if there are stuff you'd like to see in PSSE, because right now I don't have much ideas left .

I would like to see the possibility to edit the level of an escalation battle.
That would be nice.

Right now I can only choose level 999 or level 1.

Thanks.

Not a bad idea, I'll try to find a way to do it. Speaking of Escalation battles though, I'd like that 2 come at the same time again (there was once Giratina and Latios at the same time if I recall correctly) so that I could know at which offset is the second one stored.

Also, I tried to find if stagedata files told us which stages can drop Skill+ boosts, jff. I'm not exactly sure of the exact bits involved yet, but I'm guessing I've found the correct range and, if I'm right, among the stages currently in the game's files we'll have Beedrill and Uxie that'll drop Skill+ boosts (the only other stages "positives" to my test were the 4 already known (Keldeo, Infernape, Kyogre & Ash-Greninja), which means no Main or Espert stage would have a chance to drop items yet).

PS: I also had Eevee positive, but its bits are completely different so I think it's a false one.

As far as I know there were never two escalation battles active at the same time.
I am pretty sure because I play the Shuffle from the beginning when it was available for the first time in eShop.
So, I would not worry about a second EB.

Eevee is another pokemon where you can get Skill Boosters. It is not a false positive.
The difference is that Eevee drops the real items and they are not consumed by Eevee.
On the other stages the Skill Booster is immediately consumed by the pokemon which dropped it.

It was Latios & Keldeo, but it's indeed very rare. Idk if it'll ever happen again, it's just that it has been bothering me for a while ^^

About Eevee, I guess it's not the same "event" because it drops the items instead of feeding them directly. The region changes a lot between stages so I think it could be where the different "event" flags are stored for each stage, now I just need to find which one equals the skill+ direct drop.

Sorry, but this is not correct.
Look at the date on Serebii's web site for Keldeo: Nov 24th 2015 - Jan 5th 2016. This is not correct. The escalation battle did not run for over a month!
It was from Dec 22th to Jan 5th.

Edit: of course the from date was 2015 and not 2016.
