Homebrew [Release] freeShop - open source eShop alternative

Great app, but I think I found an issue - I tried to download Radiohammer (after deleting my eshop version) to test it out, and the download seems to go fine. But when I try to launch it the game bootloops. Is this because I have a legit ticket installed, or a bug in the program?


EDIT: It happens w/ smash controller as well.

If you are using n3DS it needs to be cryptofixed. go to fbi and import seed into your title

Isn't this a little sketchy? Or is it safe to use? I mean its straight up downloading from Nintendo's eShop servers. Or is it pretty much the same as just manually installing random cias with FBI just with a lot more convenience ? I was planning on getting this for my lil brother but I have some doubts.

Nintendo can do something about it, if they wanted to, but they haven't yet and most likely won't.

I guess it just uses your IP address to download titles so it's pretty safe. I'll probably try it out sometime when it can distinguish games by region. It still sounds sketchy tho lol

Perhaps, though, you could either extend the sleep time to 1-2mins or just dim it instead of turning the whole thong black?

Heh, there might be a bug if you update it without using the auto-updater. It will auto-update and install the new version every time you launch it (thinking it's old version).

Fix for now: delete your sdmc:/freeShop/config.json file

I'll issue a new 1.1 build that might fix this, but this shouldn't affect anyone.

No. It's not yet known how to do this.

Some apps don't work at all with Sleep Mode, so perhaps just turn off the screen and sound when the system is closed and fake a Sleep Mode?
