ROM Hack Exporting save from Custom GBA VC Games?

Is it possible? I recently made a custom CIA for Golden Sun. I want to export the save so that I can hex edit it on my computer, and then import it back. I've tried using JK Save Manager, which doesn't seem to work on custom GBA games. Does anyone know either how to export the save or where it is located?

I'm also really curious as to how to do this. Supposedly you can use agbsave9tool to extract them.

I'm hoping to get my FE7 save off my o3ds, and move it over to my N3dsXL.

Funny, just before you posted that I found the thread for agbsave9. Apparently I found it months earlier and watched the thread, but forgot about it since I hadn't needed to use it. I'm gonna load it up through a9lh and see how it goes
