It appears as though these files are all over the place, mostly in place where it appears it could be code, such as /data/ui/script. Furthermore, it seems as though most .xtal files are encoded too, though there are some readable bits, including what appears to be some input commands and a pointer to itself on what appears to be a development server. I really need to figure out how to decrypt these bits so I can modify them, does anyone have an idea of what they are? In particular, I wish to A. remove everything but the sky [which I modified] from Battlefield's background, and B. create a custom animation for Final Destination. Also, any progress on that menu mod @Yudowat?

Unfortunately, I haven't started. I'm only here procrastinating a big assignment then ill be away from home for Saturday so Sunday we should be good to get it done.

Someone shaved 4 pixels off the CSS to include the "extra" DLC characters. Could someone do that here to make a more unified CSS?
YES. HELL. FUCKING. YESSSSS.
also I'm bumping my question above, as I really need to progress with my ROM hack while I still have access to a computer with Photoshop.

Well yeah, I know it was just a picture edit (or else I'd just ask the person who made the hack)
None of Sammi's tools work on my computer, so I'm asking here.

Groan...
Bumping my question again. Have been bumping it across multiple threads, including this one, for over a month now. @Asia81, @Sammi Husky, @SUPR64, you have any ideas? I need to A. remove everything but the sky texture from Battlefield, and B. make a custom animation for Final Destination.

Ugh how long does it take to load the custom textures? I used python to create the cache on the OP, but my game just freezes. Can someone help me?

Hello, someone could send me all files recolor's models of Bayonetta please? the files .mbn and .bch please. I'm Spanish, my english is not very good and I don't know extract files from Updates from SSB4.

A Greeting.

OK, I haven't had time this weekend to do anything relating to the background really. So here is where I firmly believe the file is located. ui\lumen\com_bg00_up\img-00000.tex (https://imgur.com/DCRU59D)
You'll probably look at the file and be like 'the fuck is this yudowat?' but looking at the main menu background closer, you can see some rounded cutouts with a stripy image underneath. (Here's an image for reference: https://imgur.com/ZYqQjXg) The black on the rounded cutouts is what the game makes transparent and the stripy image is tiled underneath. But each little round thing has its own filter thing applied to it to make it a slightly different colour and omg it's so confusing. But by changing the file to this: https://imgur.com/mtjf8ru we come up with this result: ok nothing happened so i guess I wrote all this up for shit or something went wrong with my setup. Anyway, Im 100% sure the menu background file looks like this https://imgur.com/DCRU59D and it is multiple parts in the file set to different positions on screen.

EDIT: I made a mockup in photoshop so you can toggle on each individual part of the background and see how it all comes together. (Might need to zoom in a bit) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzI6dwIWIBj8UDhMWnFHZmFlZm8/view?usp=sharing

Is it possible to make custom update patches for SSB? I haven't seen anything with information about it. I know it is possible for other games.
(Custom textures not music)

We can't repack the DT and LS files, so we can't do custom update patches for textures, because they are inside those files.
