Are there anyway to play GBA/NES/SNES/GBC games using emulators, that you can access from the home menu? Like a way to install an emulator cia to play games? Or do you have to do it through the Homebrew menu?

I've just followed the Plaitect guide and wanna play Pokemon Silver.

Just install VC CIAs? Will make life so much easier (However I don't think this works for SNES on O3DS, someone can confirm for me?) and you'll be able to play them from HomeMenu instead of booting emulator > loading rom

cant you search?

I've been looking around and couldn't figure out how to do it. Most of the posts were from last year, before LUMA and arm9loaderhax, so I was confused.

And how would I do that? Got anywhere you can point me to?

You can download NES, GBA and GBC VC CIA's from "that iso site". However, for SNES games, I would stick to blargSNES

Well google is the one actually giving you the links so it's their fault. :P

For a moment I thought it was an emulator on installing A9LH . Like that AGE chrome extension but with a virtual space to place files and it would tell you if installed correctly.

Personally I recommend getting VC injections from that iso site (or making them yourself).

Indirect linking is fine, especially since it's a GOOGLE SEARCH.

For GB, GBC, GBA, or NES.. theres NO reason to be using emulators instead of VC CIAs. Performance is almost always flawless, which emulators cant do.

SNES is the only platform worth using an emulator.. and thats only for o3DS users trying to play certain games.. considering there are more than a handful that simply wont work through any emulators.

Idk why people think A9LH or Plailects guide will give them super powered features compared to CFW/menuhax. Take your 100% bootrate and brick safety and be happy.

This is completely untrue. Emulators can do tons of things that VC cant. Cheats, changing audio or video settings, rebinding controls, not needing to reboot with gba games, using a save from your pc. While they generally run worse there are a ton of reasons to pick emulators.

Ok so change NO to BARELY ANY. Id take performance over any of those features, any day of the week.
Why cheat and change configs for a game that runs 12 fps when you could just play it the way Jesus and Nintendo intended, using VC.
As close to owning a GBA again as can be, minus the Gameshark.
Im not trying to discredit emulator devs or people that DO use emulators for whatever reasons...
But for someone SIMPLY trying to play games - VC > Emulators, for 3DS
