Hi,

I'm going to buy the nintendo 3ds but wich one do you prefer the 3ds or the 3ds xl and then the new or the old one.
Is there any possibliety to get free games like the old ds on a r4 card or on a different way?

Kind regarts,
Bas

new XL if you value screen size and battery, reg new 3ds if not. There's also faceplates for the regular.
The old3ds (including 2ds) varieties have non-tracking 3d and much weaker cpu, not recommended.

It's possible to downgrade with anything but the latest firmware (11.0) for free games. 10.5 or less and it should be completely free (not having to buy games/accesories to trigger downgrading hax). The 3ds scene has flashcards and free cfw that boots games from the sd card, unlike the DS.

How does that work with free games?

Is it easy to install the free games/homebrew because the psvita is a shitfull steps to install free games
I think it's easier than the Vita's PSP hacking but it's definitely more involved than the DS scene.
It's about the same difficulty as Wii hacking.

There's an optional cfw called "a9lh" that is about (no kidding) 100 steps and takes all afternoon but it's really awesome. It's basically perm CFW (harkening back to the PSP scene). Lite CFW isn't that difficult to install, but downgrading to the magical 9.2 firmware comes with some risk. A flashcard company called Gateway plans to release a free downgrading tool this week that may make the process easier and safer.

Just get a new 3ds and follow the guide. I could talk to you all day about this but I don't have the time. :P

Run cfw that patches sig checks. Install game archives known as CIAs to the sd card. Play them with cfw.

Start here and go thru at least part 3
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-(Homebrew)
You get yourself the desired model (I personally recommend the N3DS [not XL] because in my opinion the XL version feels like you can count pixels.)
Then you just start follow the Guide by Plailect.

You can stop after step 3 to become a ...
Or go the full way to join the...
@Margen67 finish my sentences.

Do you recommed to buy the sky3ds card?
I don't see a reason for a flashcard if you have cfw. Except for DS Games possibly. And for possibly "easier use" and the titlelimit.
