Good day,

Need some help here! I've been using Plailect guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki and everything was going smoothly but I hit a stone.

I'm currently in part 4, section 3, step 1: "Go to http://dukesrg.github.io/2xrsa.html?arm11.bin on your 3DS" but when I enter that link on my console it just gives me the message, "arm11.bin loading" and it stays like that. OTPHelper never launches. I have followed the guide from the beginning. SysNAND is 9.2 and RedNAND is 2.1 already. My guess is that the link triggers the OTPHelper to look for some file in my SDcard. But I'm just gussing. The files "arm11.bin" and "arm9.bin" are on my sdcard root and I already tried downloading the files again with the same result. Please help!

Clear browser data and cookies.
It can also take quite a few tries to get it working correctly. It took me 5 IIRC.

Perhaps try downloading the arm9.him and arm11.bin again as well as clearing history and cookies. If you still have a problem let me know.

Section 2, Step 15: Select "One Click Setup" and confirm

That step should have put your SysNAND down to 2.1 as far as I know. Did you not do that?

Do you have WiFi access?
Are you on an OLD 3DS or a NEW 3DS?
He says the website just says "arm11.bin loading", so I think it's safe to assume he has internet access.

He said it doesn't even load arm11.bin.

Ok.

  • I have tried the link multiple times after deleting cookies and all browser data.
  • deleted the arm files from my sd, redownloaded and copied them back to sd. Same result.
  • I do have wifi access and I have a N3DSXL.
  • I did Section 2, Step 15: Select "One Click Setup" and confirm. I thought that affected only my RedNAND only. So, should my SysNAND be in 2.1 by now? If so, what should I do?

We didn't have this fancy One Click Setup when I did a9lh on my system, but I'm assuming it will output a status of success/failure. So first step is run it, and see what it says. If it errors, read the troubleshooting guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Troubleshooting#ts_otphelper_verify_fail

If that doesn't help, post the error you're getting here.

If it says success, then your SysNAND should be on 2.1.

So it seems the One click setup wasnt successful. I didn´t know the end result should be SysNAND in version 2.1 . It took so long that I just left the console doing all the work and when I came back I thought it had worked. Hmmm do you think there's a risk in running in again? As you said, I want to run it again and pay attention to any error message that might appear but I wanna be sure that there's no risk of bricking for running it again. The console is currently loading normally in 9.2.

It was written to be safe, so I would assume a failure would result in little/no changes actually taking place, and re-running it should be fine. But I've never actually used it myself (It didn't exist when I did a9lh).

Ok then. I'll give it a run tonight and I'll let you guys know if it worked, got an error, or if I got my console bricked. ;D

Thanks for the help!

It worked! I just ran the OneClickSetup again and it did the downgrade this time. After that it was all smooth sailing to the end of the guide. :)
Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread!
