Since my brother likes to go where he is not supposed to, if he deleted every single one of my tickets in ticket.db using FBI, would logging into the eshop generate new ones or is everything broken?

Has not happened, but my brother might so I would like to know so I will be more weary if he gets on it.

Well I guess I could try, just need to dump my ticket.db I could also back up my NAND as well.
If he deletes every ticket, I doubt you'd be able to get in to the eShop, as he would delete system tickets too as far as I know.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you need tickets to play games...
You don't I think, it will just make it so you can't get them from eshop i think. Though if you deleted a ticket for a game you bought I think it would generate a new one. Though I don't know, that's what I think.

Yeah that's probably right, but the question is why there are system title tickets, since we can't download them via the eshop?

Just tried : Games icon was removed from Home Menu, and I get an error message about the sd card removed if I try to launch it through FBI.
I wonder what would happen if it's a NAND title...
As I said, if someone were to get on your 3DS and delete all the tickets, I doubt you'd be able to get into the eShop :)

So Yeah, gonna back up my ticket.db just in case. Though if I ever decide to Install a cia that is not in my ticket and it generates a bad one, if I want to buy it I can just delete the bad one, buy the game and get a good ticket?

Yup, that's correct.

Tickets are required for applications to appear on the Home Menu. So, no titles would be launch-able. I'd recommend OP back up his NAND regularly.
Well I already do that, I also place it on many drives from my computer drive, Mediafire, MEGA, Dropbox, etc. So yeah I'm good in terms of that :3

fbi only clean the ticket slot, but the space that ticket occupied will remain

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

to 100% remove the slot, you have to use hex editor to delete corresponding bytes in ticket.db

Yes but if you buy the game, wouldn't the good ticket get written to that slot? Or would it make a completely new slot?
