This vexing me i can play all games under 4gb fine it loads them and switches normally through the orange button. (atleast that part works )

atm every game over 4gb even if trimmed dont work on my flashcard.
(makes me believe trimming is issue )

every time try play bravely default no matter how trim it wont load and flashcard turns game file into.
( bravely default.3ds.bad )

-i have trimmer program
-tried 3dsexplorer_v1.5.3_mod (ROM Tool 3.1_3DSGuy) dont work
-tried ctr tool aka crappy tiny reader still wont work.
-have many bravely defaults from many sites that say clean rom. (just in case it the rom)
-made sure the game is same region of my 3ds. (usa region system)
-it is formatted fat32 like supposto
-its legit 32gb sandisk

if anyone knows what i am doing wrong please help me
just want to play the game

Im fairly new to this 3ds flashcart stuff only delt with ds versions of r4 and ace3ds flashcarts which just drag drop and simpler then sk3ds+ so all new stuff to me.

Ill try the sd tester file later.

Got the microsd card at walmart so should legit yet it is older microsd.

Can older microsd cards that legit also pose issues with sky3ds seen as its a basic sandisk 32gb microsd card and not newer ultra or extreme one's?

seems weird how all games under 4gb work fine
just games that over 4gb trimmed which issue why was worried if there special critical step was missing.

Could be cause all im dragging dropping games to microsd through sd adaptor.
do i need use program to move files to sd card

Whats flash is same as updating?
all know its its newest version tutorial said plug my sky3ds to pc and put file update then delete file
is that what you mean by flash?

Sorry i ask so many questions just wanna get everything done right.

Yeah flash is updating sky+ firmware. When you trimmed roms don't use super trimmed. I use Sandisk Ultra 64gb and it worked fine. The only thing I can think of is your sd writer is having problems copying large files, maybe try a different sd writer and don't use those free ones that comes with your sky+ or other flashcard that comes with it.

how u trim without getting rid of update usually says trim or super trim and does everything for you.
um are you sure you are using 3dsexplorer? because I've never even seen those options in it I just use the toolbar on the top and go to cci and trim cci I use the basic program not a modded one

yep thats what i use says trim or untrim or such my bad.
it could be bad bravely default yet i tried many sites.
could it also be cause not using sky3ds diskwriter
seems like the discwriter dont like working on windows 10 so been draggin dropping files to sd card manually.

I'm pretty sure its the way you are trimming it that is causing the issue you have a modded version of the program...just as a test trim one of your games you KNOW worked before trimming if they don't work after then you know the trimming is the issue

yeh i can trim my games it odd cause only ones dont work are games over 4gb that trimmed.

just tested persona Q trimmed same way and worked
atm my sky3ds+ has over 15 stable games under original data that 4gb
working fine.

all games 4gb up that trimmed my sky3ds+ dont like for some reason.

why didnt know if u needed to do some special stuff for games over 4gb trimmed or such.

dunno but seems like im stuck playing games under 4gb for now unless someone figures new method for me i tried all ur help so far and nothing.

only 4gb game I have on my sky3ds+ is xenoblade and it works fine trimmed no special steps so are you sure you formatted the micro sd correctly? not sure what else it could be since other games work fine

If you haven't done so already. Use your sky3ds, get cubic ninja, and use it to run homebrew channel. WIth homebrew channel, downgrade your 3ds to 9.2 and install CFW. (custom firmware) ie, reinand. Also, do not update your 3ds to 11.0 firmware. You will lose all opportunity to hack your 3ds.

formatted it fat32 at 64kb which supposto be.
could be a bravely default issue.
mind finding a bravely default and testing it if u get simaler issue then know it game itself.
if u got working maybe it means i got many bad files online.

with the risk of soft brick even if you follow the instructions exactly and then you will be forced to update to 11
