I have been trying to run Pokken and Twilight Princess HD on loadiine, but the load times are extremely long and the music cuts out at random. In Twilight Princess, the load times are 25 seconds on average. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this?

From the compatibility list, the best you can hope for is buying a faster SD card. If you're even luckier maybe someone can find a way to repack the files more efficiently like they did for Wonderful 101 and Star Fox Zero. Otherwise, nope

Do you have any details of the process involved with Star Fox Zero and Wonderful 101?

I'm also trying to run Twilight Princess from a SDXC Class 10 64GB card and the loading time kills the game.
Let me know if you have any more info to spare.

The SD Card + overhead through is just slower, maybe with a IOSU exploit + HDD drives the loading times will increase

Probably. Maybe from internal WiiU memory it would be faster and that would not need an IOSU exploit as far as I know.

EDIT: Also found some information about the Repack process with Star Fox Zero, it seems it was just a matter of grouping all audio files into one big file to reduce seek time.

After messing with the game files I've found a log of decompressed archives within DecompressedSizeList.txt.

If I'm not mistaken this is used to reduce disk size, much like the way it used to be done with Dreamcast GDI where dummy space is taken by a bunch of 0000 if you exam with an hex editor.

I believe the loading times are a matter of seek time between files since there are too many in the content folder.
Would it be possible to compress those files again?

I remember a similar situation with the PS3 where psark files could be extracted and the system would automatically load the files without the need to point those with some hex editing.

EDIT: Found the problem. Duplicate arc files with duplicate original pack files inside pack.gz compression.
Getting the arc files back from pack.gz to pack files would solve the problem :)

I had better results without compression with star fox
For example the audio stuttering was gone

cpk is one thing, the problem with Twilight Princess is another.

Check this out:

This folder

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA Twilight Princess HD [AZAE01]\content\res\Stage\F_SP123

Has the following files
R13_00.arc
R13_00.pack.gz
STG_00.arc
STG_00.pack.gz

inside the R13_00.pack.gz you have R13_00.pack and inside R13_00.pack you have R13_00.arc.

You see the problem? The person did a poor job dumping this game. If the final result were 4.2GB, it should proably be something like 2.1GB or even less.

What I'm experimenting is delete .arc files, extract pack files and delete pack.gz files. That way I'll have a bigger game but with less files in the end, or eat least better packed ones.

Maybe it would be just a matter of deleting all pack.gz files, but I'm not experimenting that now.

Well a dump is a dump...
I don't know how a dump can be a poor job. Or are there corrupted parts ?
If it's a 1:1 copy from the vol/content files, there isn't a "poor job" done here.

What I meant was a poor dump from software side. Not everything resumes to a person pressing a button.

If I would guess the dumping software tries to reduce the size extracting the pack files but it also creates a pack.gz or maybe the only problem were that for some reason the dumping software had no access to the file system when finishing the process to delete the pack.gz files.

I've fixed it and the final size is 6.5gb, way bigger since I'm using the pack files instead of the .arc files.

Like Vins said the dump is 1:1. That's the reason why the most wuds are much bigger than the game itself.

So you are implying that the DecompressedSizeList.txt in the content folder was made by nintendo and shipped with the game disc? That doesn't seem like corporate final product at all to me.

It seems like a log of the dumping process that the software would create. Even a dumping software or a repacking one - if that's the case.

I believe the copy in my possession isn't a 1:1 at all, the same to everyone else posting about loading times.

So that list.txt was one of the files you extracted from the wud file ?

I use a sandisk ultra 32GB 80MB/s SD card and my Twilight princess HD load times are no longer than 8 seconds. I think I have the fix files too.

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.

@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.
