Why the hell would i be trolling? I asked a serious question and you blatantly replied saying i asked if the exploit works on 5.5.x and then tell me to search first. When infact i never asked about an exploit working or not. I asked about the browser.

I will thoroughly explain to you everything when I arrive back home.

I already got an answer that was suitable.

Like sorry for getting hostile towards you. But i wanted a straight up answer about whether it was safe to update. (I know have that answer)
But all i had seen was people saying to update. No one ever stated that it was all checked out or anything like that. (Then someone gave me the link to the changes made in the update)

This has been explained several times.
If you would have simply searched you would have gotten your answer.
But as usual most of the users in this scene need to be spoon fed and have their diapers changed.

Feel free to post a link that answers my question

I can see the legitimacy of his question...
Simply said he wants to know if somehow ninty added a hidden browser lock feature to 5.5.1. Thus making you have to update to 5.whatever.idk in order to use the browser...

Exactly what i mean. and i have seen no other post on here that answers that question.
I searched and finally decided to ask because why would i update without looking into it first.

Its fine if people are like "yeah the exploit works on 5.5.1" but what happens if 5.5.2 comes out and we get locked unless we update xD

If he done a search he would have found tons of posts including those from credible devs that it is indeed safe to update.

I have only seen what other people have said. I didn't know the reasons the devs said it was safe to update.
For all i knew. It could have been safe to update just because it still works.
Where i wanted to know if we could get locked out if nintendo push an update and we dont install it.

Can you just go do something productive rather than being such a bitch

0.) We can't be locked out of the browser by nintendo without an update, and even if we were blocked out to some extent im pretty sure nobody would be affected due to tubehax dns.
1.) If you need reassurance then I don't think you should be modding because there is huge risks regardless of what you do.
2.) Try reading the sticked posts, that will answer a ton of your questions in this thread.
3.) It is illogical for nintendo to block the browser in its entirety, and blocking certain domains would require an update.
If you read the posts, you would know to block updates and this would not be a problem at all.
4.) If you are so worried about upgrading to 5.5.1, then just stay on 5.5.0. Not much of a difference really.
There, happy now? let us cease the pointless fighting.
Yes. a random user claims that without any proof. That means it is 100% accurate.
Most "random users" have already used the exploit and can provided viable information to help you

I know the users can give valuable information.
But when a user posts that a dev has said something, but gives no proof it was actually said. It is kind of hard to believe. They could atleast link to where it was said.
And as for the browser block, i had no idea the devs knew exactly what the update added. So of course i came to ask about it. Nintendo could have easily made the browser only accessible if you are on the newest firmware. (Just like playing a game. If you can't update then you can't go online.)

Ever heard of using the search feature?
Also, the search feature is pretty garbage at times.
In the past, i have had tons of results and in the end none of them were useful. Most linked to practically the same thing
