Just for fun but editing all strings from the RPX that look for _us to _gb should make the EUR game work on US Wii U. Didn't try but could be fun (or extracting all _gb files from the CPK and renaming them to _us and copying them into the game folders ?).
EDIT : tried this with Starfox guard EU version and it works on my US console.

I can confirm this also works with Starfox ZERO EU version, and I managed to boot it up on a US Wii U. That way you can also force other languages, for people that want to play it in spanish, german or italian on a US Wii U (US version only has french & english).
For example _el is espanol latina, _es is european spanish (so edit _el to _es)... etc
You can obviously extract data003.cpk (the one that contains languages) and rename languages files if you want.
2. Place all files in one folder, example: c:\temp
3. Copy your desired language into that folder, example: c:\temp\sound\stream\English(US)
4. Start CPKTools
5. Hit 'browse' and choose c:\temp
6. Data Align: 2048, Coding: UTF-8, Mode: Filename, no Dir.Mask and no ForceCompress
7. Choose 'save path' and 'filename > data001.cpk'
8. Start to Build your new file
8.1 Edit your .csv file with a texteditor of your choice and change for the following files from 'Uncompress' to 'Compress':
Example: C:\temp\data_cpk.fst, \data_cpk.fst, 0, Compress
(File on Disk, file in .cpk, ID-NR, Compress or Uncompress)
8.2 Use the following commandline to create the new 'data001.cpk' in 'c:\':
cpkmakec cpkmaker.out.csv -align=2048 -code=UTF-8 -mode=FILENAME c:\data001.cpk
9. Replace data001.cpk with this new generated file
10. Remove ALL language folders from content\sound\stream
If you want, you can add all audiofiles from 'stream' folder,
but have to remove the files or the game is stuck on loading!
Max. 2 Languages inside .cpk or game will blackscreen.
Just tried this with The Wonderful 101 and works perfectly.
Tested on UHS-1 Class 10 SD Card, repacked the English(US) folder inside the data002.cpk that comes with v16.
Appart from a 180 or so seconds wait to boot the game, the loading times are very fast and there is no sound desync.

I find its very fast loading but some of the speech is cut off with this solution:
Level with destroyed base, search lights, the hover thing and the gay robot: rescue the female character she says "Hello star fox" but on screen it says "hello star Fox, come to rescue me?" or something to that effect.
No big issue I just noticed it did it a few times with Gen Pepper too.
I'm not a fan of this game, nintendo need to patch it for pro controller!!!

I only played the first mission after tutorial, and didn't get any sound missing. Did you experience sound missing at this point or only at later parts?
The first fix had enabled compression and a few audio files did cut bcuz of that, i've written a fix to this and you might have still some audio files with compression.
