Is there a recent guide on setting up an emunand for use with a loader, like CFG USB Loader? I think I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what.

Every time I try to launch a WiiWare/VC title through CFG USB Loader (v70r78), I get a DSI Exception and have to reboot the Wii. It doesn't seem to matter what type of title I try to run. The error occurs whether I use the Mighty Channels plugin or the Neek2o plugin. (Wii ISOs and GC titles through Nintendont function perfectly, only WiiWare from emunand crashes.)

To create the nand, I used BootMii to dump a copy of my system's NAND, and then ShowMiiWads to extract it to a folder, and then used ShowMiiWads to install a couple wads to it. They show up perfectly in CFG USB Loader, but trying to run one causes a large amount of scrolling text to appear, followed by an exception and stack dump. It claims it'll restart in 60 seconds, but the system seems to just hang instead.

I also tried using ModMii to create a "virgin" NAND, but that behaves the same way. Plus, I'm hoping to be able to reproduce this on a vWii for my sister, and I don't know if a ModMii-created emunand would function correctly on that.

Most guides I've seen involve setting up an emunand and then booting it through a channel such as Sneek, but I was hoping to be able to have all the titles accessible through a single loader. Plus, when I tried that, the channel to start the emunand gave an error that disappeared before I could read it, and dumped me back to the system menu.

If anyone can give me a tip on what to try next, or where to look, I would appreciate it.

Looks good. You'll need something like Nintendont to run Gamecube games but it doesn't require installing anything else, just the app.

You can use ModMii to regenerate the bootmii SD files. I would use the d2x installer to update your cIOS 249/250, too.

You can always just make a new backup of your NAND with BootMii if you lost the original (assuming your Wii is still functional.) :)

CleanRip or something like USB Loader GX should work fine. Just because the game is region locked, doesn't mean it's a different format. It's only region locked on the software level. Unless Cyan or another developer decided to code in region locking on their software for dumping, which would be completely silly, then the region won't matter.

Wiimms wwt tool should work. I think there's an OS X GUI somewhere but the command line interface is pretty simple.
It's bundled with the wit archive here: http://wit.wiimm.de/

can anyone send me Dios Mios version 2.11 because i cant seem to find it in the google downloads

DM isn't supported anymore. Is there a reason you want it instead of Nintendont or Devolution? Google Code shut down at the beginning of the year and only source archives are available.

EDIT: I would also like to know what backup launcher I can use with configurable IOS. Thanks!

Hey, I'm wondering, are there any Disc loaders for vWii? I have a bunch of DVD+R backups of my games, and they won't load if I use WiiGator's backup launcher, or by hitting the disc icon in WiiFlow or other similar loaders.

No, I don't think the Wii-U's drive will read anything except pressed discs. Even most of the Wiis won't.

You can run games from a hard drive, though.

Alright. Guess I was one of the lucky ones to have a first gen Wii at the time. Anyhow, Can I load from ISO, or am I forced to format to WBFS?

No, don't use WBFS partitions. :) Wii Backup Manager can smoosh Wii ISOs into a WBFS file and split it so it fits on a FAT32 partition. All 3 of the loaders can handle those.
