Ninjhax needs internet for installation. Or you have to get the payloads from somewhere else, but good luck finding them as they are FW / region specific.

I heard booting into safe mode may ask you to enable the wireless (via software). But don't update there!

I've installed on an OLD 3ds XL at the weekend i MISSED it too
BUT on the OLD 3ds XL i was able to get into the "System Settings" and could add an WIFI AP on FW 2.1!
I've done the Plailect guide long ago (with my two machines "look at the Sig) as there was a WARNING that you CAN'T change your WIFI after DG to 2.1 ....... but i dont see that anymore!
AGAIN i did it on an OLD 3ds XL and i'am not sure if it works for you on a NEW 3DS XL or NEW 3DS........

It won't work since N3DSes don't have a physical wireless switch.

I don't think any version of Ninjhax supports 2.1.

Indeed they don't. Only run-once playloads exist on that FW.

Does the error occur almost immediately or after a while? Tried with sd card out of console?

After a while. No microSD is also the same.

Well, this is my bad. I forgot to toggle WiFi. So, in 2.1 I can't do anything. I have Sky3DS though. What must I do?

And is it normal that 2.1 New3DS screen blink colors?

you can hardmod, with sky3ds or not, you can ONLY hardmod to save yourself

nope, cause a cart update on an unbricked n3ds would ONLY brick the 3ds even more

Only Pokemon Y will work, it has the necessary update version to launch a gateway exploit that lets you fully recover

If you use Luigi Manson, it will brick to the point you need a hard mod!

They said we can't update with cart past 6.x. But you updated it with 6.1 Pokemon Y. Even using 4.5 bricked.

This isn't an issue with O3DS. Not only can O3DS just update normally if something bad happened, but they have a physical wireless switch on the console. The problem the OP had is that he turned off wireless through the home menu, and the option to turn it on/off isn't there on 2.1, so his wireless was off with no way to turn it on. This is a potential issue if you are using a 2DS or N3DS that don't have a physical wireless switch. Easy way to avoid it: don't turn off wireless, silly.

Alright, but is router connection required? Or can you just use your freshly formatted emunand and go straight to the browser, or say, update your r4i firmware?

If its stuck on 2.1 without wifi I I upgraded with a cart, pokemon Y to update the system. That should allow you to run another exploit that does not require the internet to upgrade to 9.2 so that you can restore your nand backup using decrypt 9.

Get a 1 time hardmod to restore the original nand, there's too much information in this thread and noone seems to have the ultimate way to do it.

Last time I say this;
I upgraded from 2.1 on a New 3DS using sky3ds with Pokemon Y update data. From there I had to use a gateway exploit to upgrade to 9.0. Once on 9.0, I restored my nand backup.
and just an FYI, only pokemon X and pokemon Y are safe to upgrade to from 2.1 with cart on N3DS.

What I don't know is once you are on 6.1, if you will have wifi again. But if I were you, once it says the upgrade is complete power off by pulling the battery and wait 20 sec before powering on again. The N3DS in recent fw, it auto enables wifi if battery has been pulled.

Sorry, English isn't my native language and just learn it a while. I mean they said new 3ds with stucked 2.1 only can be updated to 4.x, not 6.x or up.
