You could possibly try deleting all the files, and replacing the folder and binary, in case something has corrupted

Tried directly loading reinand through arm9loaderhax.bin and it still gets stuck on a black screen, whether or not splash.bin exists.

EDIT: additionally, if I load Emunand9/decrypt9, etc, first, ReiNand loads just fine with screeninit disabled.

You must comment this https://github.com/Reisyukaku/ReiNand/blob/master/source/main.c#L15 or else it will crash as soon as it calls clearScreen (as the framebuffers haven't been set)

I launch 9.0 emunand (not rednand) with reinand 3.8, launch hbl loader cia to run GW 3dsx, I get black screen every time.

Above process works with aureinand 5.0 holding L (i have 10.7 sysnand, so that boots my 9.0 emunand), what's the difference? I tried naively stealing 'firmware90.bin' from old FIRMs.7z from aureinand link, and replacing the 'firmware.bin' in my rei folder, but that was a step backwards (hang at reinand splash).

I think I have more recent news than you have (since I speak with him quite often on Skype), and he's not "gone". He's still working on 3DS stuff.

Your post was really just an excuse for me to make a dumb joke, but stressed out posting makes one jumpy and irritable. Just not worth the outrage and and resulting health complications later down in life.

Rei has the right idea here, if this hobby here ever stresses you out again to the point where you feel you have to defend yourself to faceless strangers on the internet, just switch off. Disconnect for a couple hours, switch off your push notifications or whatever, go out and have a beer or a good meal. Clear the mind.

Ah, Thanks! Good to know. In any case I'm set now (was just easiest to make a modified AuReiNand a9lh payload that defaults to booting emunand and has a separate config space from my default sysnand AuReiNand), thanks again!

I know sounds weird, I have an odd usecase (want to boot emunand optionally, w/o shoulder buttons, doing it w/ ctrbootmanager9)

As of right now I'm on 9.2 reiNand and for some reason it won't let me update to 10.7 reiNand any ideas?

I had a similar issue which I fixed by leaving wifi on, closing the system while in emunand, waiting 10min, opening system and pressing update at the prompt.

Yoooooo!!!!!!! I did the reverse of that just a couple of minutes ago canceled the update at the prompt because I was confused went into system settings to see I was still in 9.2 rei tried to update got error was unable to update rebooted reinand in CRT boot manager says preparing home menu and then the themes menu pop up went into system settings again and now see that I'm in Rei 10.7.0-32U.

Everything seems to be working fine my SysNand is still in 9.2.
