Probably. But I don't know if it works, I am using the .bin file.

Why don't you switch to bin instead?

I'd like to keep everything in its origin and reduce files on SD to remember. Everything goes super fast AuReiNand for a good example... sometime I can't remember what I did yesterday lol :D

Rename the bin whatever you want and place it where you want. Then use the path changer to change the hard-coded path inside the bin to wherever you placed and named it. Change the entry in your bootloader (ctrb9, bootctr9, whatever) to point to the bin instead of the Dat and set the offset to 0.

Oh my, didn't know that now we can play online without the latest firmware. Just tried Smash and it's working flawlessly.

Thanks a lot!
Why arnt u not on latest in the first place?

okay so i should remember to always have force auto a9lh detection ticked yes? and also autoboot sysNAND?

i currently use 3 options , the cpu thing (n3ds) and the 'use sysNAND firm as default (a9lh)' because i dont use emuNAND.

and lastly the region emulation thing.

so should i tick autoboot into sysnAND and force auto detect a9lh? for safety yes?
so if an update were to come and i would want to update, then i would better have those 2 options ticked yep?
Yep!

Copy new arm9loaderhax.bin over old one. Delete firm files in aurei folder. U can delete the config or just hold select while turning it on to make sure the settings are how you want them. If you don't have the aureinand arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of your sd card you need to use the patcher.

All this has already been stated over the past few pages. Read the wiki linked in the main post it has a bunch of info
ur the only one who gave me a real answer @pbanj my sincere thanks.

oh , i seen the patcher but i have not used it.. and my BLUE gw card is working fine with v5 and loaded a ds game just now :/

am i better off patching?

(ops damn, sorry for the double post --' )
No, patching is only needed if aureinand's binary isn't arm9loaderhax.bin

TWL and AGB work by changing path for AuReiNand.dat using command line "aurei/" @Aurora Wright

So small problem i'm hoping for a solution. I took my OTP and a random Emunand backup I had and setup arm9lh aureinand and all was good until I installed these two CIA's DevMenu_Nand.cia and MicroSDManagment_US_NAND.cia they work great in Emunand but in Sysnand arm9lh they would crash the system any ideas why? I rolled back and flashed my backup NAND's since things didn't work out like I had hoped.

Well that's kind of a lie MicroSDManagment_US_NAND.cia would crash the system asking for a shutdown and DevMenu_Nand.cia would just not be visible on the home menu.

@Aurora Wright Can ARN.bin detect itself the path it's been launched from, and then apply path patch automatically ?
This could be done by scanning the SD card and looking for ARN. However I'm pretty sure it would have a big performance impact on boot times (especially for large mSD users). :P So I'd rather not. I even did too much by coding the path changer instead of having people hex editing the ARN payload.

So, 5.0 is brilliant, but it seems to have broken DSi games for me. N3DSXL sysnand 10.7; tried it with n3ds speedup on and off, reinstalled the DSi game (Shantae), just hangs on a black screen until forced down. Anyone else try this?

OK, replaced my TWL_FIRM with a clean cia (which I though I had done already, but whatever) and now it works!

If "that other cfw we shall not name here" is any indication, yeah boot time will increase a bit doing it that way.

Just change the path yourselves people! Don't be fkn lazy! :P

If Aurora can magically spawn this into AuReiNand, that would be AMAZING! All we need now is that and maybe some sort of plugin system like NTR
