So for AUReiNAND v5.0, if using a N3DS XL system with A9LH installed and using sysnand i should use the following options...

Autoboot sysNAND
Use SysNAND FIRM as default (A9LH-only)
Show current NAND in System Settings
Show GBA boot screen

Whats the 'use region/language emulation option??

Also all we should have in the 'aurie' folder now is firmware.bin & firmware90.bin no need for the firmware_agb.bin or firmware_twl.bin files anymore?

What sysnand do you exactly mean? Is it UpdatedSysNand?

No, patching is only needed if aureinand's binary isn't arm9loaderhax.bin

@Aurora Wright Is it possible to enable 9.0 FIRM support again?
The option present to use an external FIRM just uses the one for NTR, but I'd like to still use some applications that need 9.0 with libkhax etc.
Would be really great, I replaced the ntr FIRM with the 9.0 FIRM rename to firmware.bin and everything works except games that reboot sysNAND, support for both NTR and 9.0 compatible FIRM would be really appreciated.

Unless you want use to NTR, no, you don't need them anymore.

FIRM protection is enabled by default.

I'm going to say a couple of things:

First of all, it is entirely safe to update if you're using ARN and you'll keep A9LH. If somehow he did update and it removed a9lh, a backup won't help you without a hardmod.

Secondly, your sig is really obnoxious, there's no need to create a war between ReiNAND and AuReiNand. Let people use what they want.

My setup: Emunand 10.7.0-32 and AuReiNand 5 with aurei/firmware.bin (10.2 firm)

For what I can understand is that if Use SysNAND FIRM as default (A9LH-only) is enabled, when holding [R] the 3DS will boot into Emunand 10.2 (following firmware.bin). Otherwise, it will boot into Emunand with default firm (10.4)

If Use SysNAND FIRM as default (A9LH-only) is disabled (by default), when holding [R] the 3DS will boot into Sysnand 10.2 (following firmware.bin). Otherwise, it will boot into Emunand with firm 10.2 (following firmware.bin)

Is there any difference if there's no firmware.bin at all?

I'm loving the clock-speed mod added in the new releases. I've only tested on Alpha Sapphire, but saw a noticeable increase in framerate during battles with 3D at max.

Here's the thing, if you aren't using A9LH then you don't need that setting. That's why it says A9LH only. If you are using menuhax emunand then you don't need that setting.

If you are using A9LH then you have the option to use just sysnand without emunand. Aureinand initially looks for an emunand. This setting is for A9LH sysnand users like myself.
