You're not gonna get decent speed PS2 on it - the tablet is more powerful and that can't manage playable speeds.
Dolphin - try recent nightlies rather than what's up on the store, should get decent speeds.
N64 emulator? Mupen64 Plus AE.

No idea where you heard it, but you're not gonna find a PS2 emu on a Shield Portable that actually runs anything.

Same with Dolphin, the Shield Portable won't run Dolphin very well at all, I believe you're confusing it with the Shield TV which will run it ok-ish.

N64 games though, Mupen64Plus AE runs great. Grab one of the nightlies, which work pretty well on mine.

PSOne emulation on the otherhand works pretty well. FPse or ePSXe are probably the best out there.

Again, no PS2 emulator will run well on the Shield Portable period. There's no other one you can try, nothing will work better. It's purely a hardware issue, the Shield Portable doesn't have the power to emulate the PS2 let alone Gamecube.

Nightlies are like auto-builds of the latest version of something that feature the most up-to-date changes. Just download the top version of Mupen64Plus AE from here: http://www.paulscode.com/auto-builds/

As for what else can run, pretty much everything from PS1 gen and lower along with DS and PSP games and there's a Dreamcast emulator that works ok-ish. This includes NES, SNES, GB/GBC, GBA, DS, PS1, PSP, Genesis/Mega Drive, Dreamcast games run ok (from Reicast), Neo-Geo and some DOS games can run ok with DOSBox.

They are right but why are you asking here ? What they said will says the same things over at PCSX2 Forum. The developers over there will tell you that very same things over here as well. No, sorry.

Now I've not used a recent nightly, hell I don't think I've picked the thing up since Christmas , so it'll be one of the nightlies from probably late last year, but I'm sure Dolphin ran Gamecube games pretty decent on it.... forget Wii of course, and I'll be very surprised if I'm talking full speed, but it seemed quite playable.... Will have to check later methinks (if I can find the bloody thing) - you're possibly right though, I may have just been amazed it was running at all!

Some of the very low requirement games sort of run kind of, you can get like 8fps in Luigi's Mansion and I think Animal Crossing managed a whole 10-15fps in menus. I went and tested this last night, since I was curious as to how the nightlies ran and it's still not playable. The Shield Tablet gets around double that, which is still sort of not great.

But I hear the Shield TV runs Dolphin well enough, I've got one coming in today which I plan on testing so I guess I'll see how that goes.

hmm I haven't even attempted to dick around with dolphin on my portable. I was under the impression that it wouldn't run at all due to not having openGL 3.0.
on the other hand, dolphin on my satv-beast is quite playable. I never thought I'd have a device (this soon... [living in the future/now is awesome]) that'd be strong enough to emulate the Wii/GC at an acceptable framerate (hit'n'miss per title and settings of course). and those beautious HD rendering options surpass teh native wii und gc resolution by miles.

I really want to get a USB wiiimote IR bar to muck around with.

I'd like to know the same thing. It's fine until there's a lot of stuff on screen.

Games like Conker and other Rare games run slow on the emulator for some reason. Some people can run it at full speed, but idk how.
