(I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask that but here it is)
I've started Fire Emblem Conquest a while ago, and just now learned about the special edition cia.
Does anyone know the effects it could have if I exported my FE:C save and imported it into FE:SE ? Would it work correctly or just crash/not be detected?

You can stop after part 3 if you want. You will need a copy of Zelda lot and a powersaves so you can use oothax to downgrade. Or get your hands on a copy of cubic ninja or a sky cart and a cubic ninja rom.

Hi everyone, i followed Plailect guide to a9lh + aureinand and got everything done. (Thanks for this great guide) Now i got some questions regarding about cleaning up old stuff.

I thought often if there is still something of "menuhax" or old stuff left even the SD card got setup with safea9lhinstaller, updated sysNAND mode, and no emunand left. And before i tried to boot the 3ds with DPAD Down (thats the menuhax installer part on that guide) to boot up the HBL i wanted to make sure that this does not work anymore or maybe brick my o3dsxl.

Mentioned here https://gbatemp.net/goto/post?id=6234306#post-6234306 i should run menuhax_installer and press Delete because there are still old parts left.

So i booted up normally into my CFW, started hblauncher via .cia went into the menuhax_installer menu and pressed Delete (i didnt press X because that prompt was faster ignored and read before it started to delete stuff, what does pressing X do?)
Does "menuhax" leftovers even matter when i boot directly into my cfw?

And after that Cleanup i rebooted my 3ds (is there a better way than shutting it down and turning it on again? like a reboot.cia that reboots the 3ds?) and i think it booted even faster than before (placebo effect?)

And to my final question for now: ;)
Whenever i press "start" or "up" or "down" it boots direct into decrypt9wip. is that normal?

Sorry for the long text and that many questions, was my first time i read through and did all this :)

Love my 3ds now :)

i'm fairly new to the 3ds scene too (got mine done about 3 weeks ago?), i believe menuhax was recommended to remove after your set up was complete to prevent any instabilities & it's really not needed anymore. not sure if you're still asking about clean up as to what you can still remove from your sdcard.. i remember seeing a picture somewhere that gave the bare minimal of what you needed on your sdcard w/ your cfw but i don't remember where i saw it (and i'm not adept enough to give more feedback) :D

not sure about a reboot .cia, is this just a general curiousity? hitting the power button to shut down and turn on doesnt take long..

it's not normal for me, if i remember correctly (in the middle of a game atm lol) my decrypt9 was renamed to "default" and moved somewhere on my sdcard, so i hold L + R once i boot the n3ds to get to the screen.. does this happen only when you boot (i assume so since you love your 3ds now lol)?

sorry couldn't be of much help but maybe you can edit your post to be more descriptive for when one of the pros come around.. glad you were still successful though!

Hello qi_synergist

The power of a "jailbroken" 3ds is the thing i love hehe and now i bought a used n3ds xl (seller claims its dual ips, i saw the screens but not sure yet.. another hours of reading through different threads..) and awaiting it for the power of playing vc snes games and i hope it has a bigger battery too because i think that my o3dsxl battery gets more drained now since it boots everything from the SD-Card

Thanks for the help still! The Screenshot you mentioned is also from the Guide and yeah i cleaned it up that also before i asked myself about menuhax.

Decrypt9wip is renamed to default.bin and boots successfully when i hit START, but i wondered why it boot also when i press DPAD DOWN or DPAD UP (or was it left and right, nah dont think so.. sitting at work atm and cant remember now)

Maybe default.bin means any input other than Y for emunand, X for uncart and SELECT for AuReiNand Config :)

And after all sure does my 3ds boot normally into sysnand cfw when i dont touch any buttons :)

Did you put the files from the starter kit on your sd card?

I want to use a9lh + AuReiNand as my CFW. But i have some questions -

1. Is Plailect's guide the proper guide for this? Like in step 5 I have to choose AuReiNand CFW ryt? Or do i have to refer the official thread of AuReiNand after step 4?
2. How much storage does this process take in my sd card? Whether 16 gb sd card is fit or should i go for 32 gb? (I myt need to keep 3ds game cia files and gba roms )
3. Suppose after all the steps(in future), if i copy the files from 16gb sd card to 32 gb sd card, will a9lh + AuReiNand still work?
4. How do I update my AuReiNand when new future updates are released?

1 Yes its the only one you should follow
At step five you follow it

2 About 50kb for the cfw file(newest beta of aureinand doesn't need any extra files, it works great). You can get rid of emunand so that space is freed up.

3 Yes
The actual exploit/entry point is stored on the nand so as long as the sd card has a arm9loaderhax.bin it will worl

4 Just replace the file
So you would take the new arm9loaderhax.bin and copy it to the sd card, overwriting the old one

Thank you for the answers.

3. A guy had told that he had problems after copying files to a new sd card in this post.

4. I just have to replace that one file? Cool

If you have an emunand you can have problems but with a9lh and using sysnand(the guide has yo do this) moving to a new sd card is as easy as it is with stock. Just put everything from the old sd card onto the new one and put it in the 3ds.

And ya its one file or will be once its released as an actual release and not just stuff that been compiled by others. As it is right now there are more files that are needed but when updating its still just that one file.

AurieNand Arm9loader, 128GB card (102gb filed), DevMenu and BBM both crash the systme upon oppening, it was fine when on emunand CFW but after the switch they have stopped. Do I need to do anything special to get either working?
