I have very slightly modified a couple animations I found in the animation thread but I cant cant seem to get them to run smooth.
I was wondering if someone could take a look, maybe try them out for me and see if they can figure out why.

All help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Attached are the files I am putting into my SD:\anim\ folder.

Prob be best to ask in the animation thread.

-_- go back and re read the set up. The bin from this needs to be named arm9loaderhax.bin and the one for your cfw or boot manager needs to be named arm9payload.bin
I edited my answer  what I did was renamed my "arm9loaderhax.bin" to "arm9payload.bin" then copied the "arm9loaderhax.bin" from the bootanim9 that's what I did :wtf: sry for my earlier post

If you do manage to get them will you tag me please, I was using these ones too, thanks

@peteruk I am having no luck but it seems like 2 animations of this size causes some lag. Ran individually they run fine.

I seem to be having a problem with this one cutting off too early, is there a max length?

Not really, try adding some extra frames at the end

There shouldn't be, but having both screens will cause speed problems currently

just use 15-17 fp< and use it for TOP animation only,

i do not use 2 animations cause it makes it lag, so best go with top only.

plus , imo. top animation is enough already :)

Your base fps is 10, don't multiply it by 3 and assume ffmpeg won't see a problem. The rule of thumb should always be at base fps or lower, adding more will make it look slower because it is.

Even when I put put it thru ffmpeg at 10 FPS it still cuts off before the end of the gif. I tried other numbers for the FPS and they all had the same error as before "Past duration 1.799995 too large". Except when I use 13 I don't get the error but it still cuts off when booted on 3DS.

I will keep playing around and see what i can do. Thanks for your help!

Then it's an error with your file. Try converting it to another format or re-encode it and use the script on the converted file. Won't fix the early cut-off issue, that's an issue with your gif

I exported it from flash as a mov and used an online converter to convert it to a gif and then ran that through ffmpeg and it works perfectly now but with some quality loss. I have no idea why tho. thanks for your help @Wolfvak

Yeah, multiple conversions are gonna screw up your quality. Especially if you convert it to gif, that thing supports up to 256 colors.

What do you recommend I do? I am using Flash Pro CC 2015 but I am a complete noob with it. I know nothing about video formats and have no idea why when exported from flash as gif it works perfectly on my computer but not when I convert to rgb, but when i export as mov and convert it to gif it works fine.
Any way i could use Flash or Adobe Encoder to export to a video format with perfect quality and then convert that file to the rgb format?

To be honest, I don't know. I'm not that experienced in video formats in order to help you out too much, I just provided some guidelines about the format and how to convert to it. On the other hand, @Docmudkipz seems to know a lot more than I do about this, maybe he should answer this.

The issue you describe must be a ffmpeg issue, that software is full of them due to the wide range of formats they use. Try renaming your flash to a '.gif' and try converting that. The script won't error out and ffmpeg should support it perfectly.

I have fixed my problem by exporting from Flash to Adobe Media Encoder and exporting it as an MPEG2 and then running that thru FFMPEG.
I don't know if that is the best way for the best quality but it works.

Thanks a lot for your help!
