Yes I know they use it to patch stuff but do you think they use it for other reasons? I was just wondering about that.

Well, aside from checking the *hax itself to patch it out, and perhaps checking ctrulib to see what we have access to, WHAT would they use it for even?

@xtheman166, dude, I have seen Nintendo Life comment in youtube videos saying that "Homebrew is something Nintendo stamp out as soon as possible".

So yeah..... I don't think they are going to use Homebrew anytime soon... like others have said, they have their own official SDKs and stuff to work with...

@xtheman166, dude, I have seen Nintendo's affiliates who have commented in youtube videos saying that "Homebrew is something Nintendo stamp out as soon as possible". :P

Pretty sure NintendoLife isn't officially affiliated o-o but I might be wrong

As for your "digital rulers".. just add lines rather than using a pencil tool. (even MS paint can do that so)

I was in a bit of a rush. >.>
I took the screenshot with Snipping Tool and used it's marker pen tool to quickly "underline" the main part. I didn't really want to waste time with perfection.

Also, the "digital rulers" thing was just a joke...

Looks like you used ms Paint
Line tool + hold shift

And no. They dont. I don't know if NL is owned or run by nintendo, but it sounds like they were just more or less stating an obvious truth.

I can imagine some of their employees might use homebrew. There are so many useful features, it would be insane to imagine they don;t want extra functionality. Though, with that being said it may be against some sort of ethical agreement lol

I fixed up my first post with those good MS Paint tips. :P

Also, even if NL aren't associated with Nintendo, they are still very close to eachother, I would've thought... So I imagine there's another bit of proof there to say that Nintendo would never use/work with homebrew, seeing as NL had made that said comment on youtube...

I always thought some of them even creates it themselves! Because they know about the inner workings like no one else. And some of them don't care about piracy and all. Just do it because they can... ^^

They have used it on the gba and wii. On the gba with the nes classics they modified loopy and flubba's pocketnes and on the wii they used scummvm to bring freddy fish to the wii. Don't know if they still doing this kind of porting.
