Just when I had my rxTools stuff with emuNAND all sorted out, another CFW trumps it? Bah! AuReiNAND basically replaces rxTools? What is all the A9LH stuff about that I keep seeing that accompanies AuReiNAND, if you don't mind me asking?

It basicly gives you 100% boot, compared to rxTools which likes to fail like once every 20-30 boots. It also boots straight into emunand which is faster faster than menuhax + boot manager, no need to hardmod when bricked. It stops the whole update pop ups you'd occasionally get on sysnand etc... There's still a chance that it goes wrong and with bad luck you'll have a high chance to say bye to your 3ds.

I used rxTools for the longest..
Then I realized it was a dead fw that didnt match the other new releases. 100% bootrates, decrypt9 and emunand9 immediately at boot, ability to recover a brick with no hardware..

There are plenty of reasons to switch. Anyone who doesnt is just scared.. either of change or a brick.

Guide is as close to 100% safe as possible given that it validates everything every step of the way. You'd have to intentionally ignore validation checks to brick.

Personally I don't feel like doing any of that yet. Sure I can throw on aureinand. It's deleting one file and replacing it with the other. For ah9l I'm just too lazy. Everything is doing what I want. rxTools isn't a dead cfw, it's just not used as much as anymore, but it's still being updated and I'm fine with it as long as it still works. It's not about being scared of whatever.

No, I'm just trolling at this point. Since the arguments that are brought in aren't that great. TV's, CD's and all that. Nothing to do with what we're talking about.
But it IS. I brought in analogies since you didn't seem to be understanding the actual subject at hand. You are being given an opportunity to switch to something better, for no cost to you, but you don't want to, because you've decided the bad things of what you're using aren't really that bad. It's like you got abducted by rxTools and are experiencing Stockholm syndrome.

Nah bro. Its dead. Besides.. I dont think you can properly understand or appreciate how much better a A9LH 3DS just feels.. let alone actually operates. I could force my rxTools to get stuck at boot. I cant break A9LH.

No, you don't seem to get it. Sure, I don't want to install a9hl yet. Read up why. To switch to aureinand you don't need to do magical things with pixie dust. You just don't want to get how the arguments you both brought make little to no sense.

Got my system back on Friday from having it hard modded, to have a way out of a brick.

Opened up the A9LH guide and went step by step through the process. 3 hours later (a lot of baking up and restoring and the otphelper takes a minute) and no bricks. Got a9lh up and running with aureinand, and couldn't be happier I've left menuhax behind. There's no reason to stay behind, unless you WANT to.

Why would you want to though?Ohhh...

Maybe you're just content with where you are. Maybe people just like to stand still in an ever moving environment. It's not the wrong thing to do.. Just dull.

A9lh is insanely simple.. I got lost with rednand, though. Didn't need it I spose.

That's actually what I do the majority of the time because what I started out with meets my expectations of doing what I want it to do, and one of those things is not being a bloated mess (which rxTools is).

Oh, I know. I quit using it when reinand got 9.6+ emunand support. After that it just went to shit anyway. :P

I quit using it after I realized that rxTools was never built for the N3DS, which was half-way through trying to set it up on my N3DS... Although, I did get slot0x1BkeyX.bin out of the whole ordeal (keep in mind that this was back when it was still a pain to find that key).

With the removal of the "tools" part(which I don't really care) and the arrival of a9lh, the answer is no. You should install a9lh on your 3DS and move to either AuRei, Rei or Cakes.

The code in rxTools is old. Time moves fast. Better use something with newer AND updated code, than old sht.
The only thing I ever liked about rxtools was the dev mode and some of the options when you load it. Other than that, that CFW is worthless
